You can also try changing the realmlist login address to the server's IP address.  which I dont have with me right now, we'd have to scrounge around for it.

I was told ths is the server IP address  you would copy thi with notepad and write it into your realmlist.wtf file instead of the norml logon info.

164.132.233.125  can always change back, no harm no foul.

read my previous suggestions.  also if you change to IP in realmlist make sure it says:

set realmlist 164.132.233.125

I am having the same difficulties. Immidiatly after pushing enter on my login, i get the notice "Disconnected from server" I have tried deleting the WTF folder, have tried running it as administrator, it's nt under my Program files folder, and i created an account and downloaded the game just 1 hour ago

Please help

Ok.  are you operating as administrator, is your wow folder not in program files.

I haven't even been online today, so i dont know if all servers are even up.  All you guys could be experiencing routing issues.  Turn everything off cycle through it.  Consider using cyberghost.vpn to move your IP address somewhere else.  It's free and it's honestly good to have if you don't already have this handy app.  If that works, you know you got routing issues.

alright, fixed it, not real sure what did it, did a fresh install, and a computer restart

the install was pretty quick, i still had the download already, back up your addons folder if needed....but, whole process was about 5 min

Can't you see that kind of info when you sign into the web?  At any rate, you'd get the message, "this account has been closed" when trying to log on, not "disconnected".

Did you do all the things mentioned in this thread? Did you create a game account (not the same as forum account)Did you set wow.exe to operate as adminstrator.  Did you move the application out of program files.  Did you read Pottus post about DirectX.  Did you check to see if there is erroneous inforamation at the Set accountName line?  Does your realmlist.wtf file have the correct logon info?  Did you try setting it to the IP address instead.
