Neurosis 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 While playing I noticed that about every 30 sec or so my mouse when holding right click down to look and move. Would randomly move from 20 deg to 180 deg. Meaning I would turn around when I just wanted to move a little to the right. Tried with different mice and use this same mouse with FPS games with no problem.
Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 You're not on a Mac using wineskin are you? Otherwise some things to try: 1.toggle back and forth the "Hardware cursor" in advance settings. 2.Go to your World of Warcraft folder, then open the WTF directory and open the file config.wtf with notepad. Then find the gxCursor line and edit it to read as follows: SET gxCursor "0" 3. could be a general graphics settings-drivers, read Pottu's post about DirectX here. 4. this helps with some other mouse issues try this: Right click anywhere on the desktop and select Screen Resolution Click on Make text and other items larger or smaller Change the size of text to Smaller - 100% (default)

It's only happened today though, I did not have any issue on Friday. I've tried everything @Ellipsea suggested but unfortunately the issue did not get fixed. (My config.wtf did not have gxCursor either by the way).
Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 got these from nostalrius posts, maybe there's a golden nugget in here somewhere: Same thing is happening to me. Not sure what's going on. Found a fix from an old wow forums topic from people that had the same problem (not sure if it's the exact same problem), which is to rightclick your wow.exe, go to compatibility, tick disable DPI, run in win8 compatibility mode, run as admin. Didn't fix it for me though but maybe you can try that. Criticism wrote: I think it might be my mouse...I got it to happen like once or twice with a different mouse, but definitely not frequently, I had to actually try and make it happen with this mouse. Could it be something to do with my mouses software conflicting with the vanilla wow client? The mouse I use is http://media.thatguys.co.uk/uploaded_images/steelseries-wow-mouse-769690.jpg I just find it so weird that it ONLY happens in combat...I'd just simply use the other mouse but I have like half my spells keybound to my mouse, so I'd much rather fix it. Any suggestions? If you have knowledge of how to clean electronics and how to successfully take your mouse apart and put it back together, it may be the left mouse button itself. If you don't know how, I would definitely advise against doing it yourself. If you want to continue to use that mouse, I would suggest learning how to use the WASD keys for movement and using the right mouse button to turn instead of using the combination of left + right mouse button for movement. by Criticism » Sat Mar 14, 2015 3:47 pm If anyone was wondering I've fixed the issue. It was my client, I downloaded a fresh one and in many attempts im unable to replicate the issue. So anyone in future if you're having this issue, download a new client
