Can only play in Freeze Frame mode! Any suggestions?

Like it says...I have to alt tab, and every time I tab back in, the screen is updated, but still frozen. I've tried Freeze Framing through everything, making a character one option at a time, loading in, then pressing escape, alt tab, hitting Video Settings, Alt Tab, putting it in Window Mode/Maximized. That screws you up, cause it will no longer update every alt tab. I had to delete my WTF folder to fix this issue. Anyone know what it could be? I downloaded the client linked in the torrent.

I restarted my computer cause I thought it might be my GeForce Experience interfering. After the restart, I started it up, and it worked for about 10 seconds, then started throwing me a bunch of errors saying "Unable to initialize 3D acceloration. Make sure my DX9 or something is up to date." Wonder what it could be though.

But that makes no sense...I was playing this game just a few months ago on the same system. Worked just fine. Although I installed from Disks and updated manually, this time I just grabbed the Torrent client it mentions on the front page.

Thanks...I'll try this...but I'm fairly certain I already have this. I play so many older games it isn't funny. I have pretty much all redists and stuff.

I THINK I may have fixed it. Put it in Windows 8 compatibility and checked "Run as administrator" and it seems to be working without throwing errors. Already tried the Run as Admin and it didn't do anything, so apparently it needs to be run in like Win 7 or higher mode.
