[Bug] Water Walking

Recommended Posts

if a shaman casts water walking then casts ghost wolf, water walking stops working altogether, even if the shaman exits ghost wolf.

I'm confused. the latest patch notes here on the forum state water walking & ghost wolf stack properly. but, it does not, i still drop into the water if i sift into ghost wolf (losing my water walk buff completely). further more, according to the "Bug tracker"... the ability to stack water walking with ghost was was removed in a Lich king patch 3.0.2. honestly, we are not on a lich king based server & should no be subject to that patch. this combo is not a game breaker & if i remember correctly when playing retail i was able to use both water walk & ghost wolf throughout all of the Vanilla patches. (it was one of my most common get-away combos).. like my druid cheetah form or, hunter aspect of the cheetah, rogue sprint, mage blink, etc).

So, please let us know if this will be fixed correctly, if you will be mixing patches that are not true to the vanilla game play or if possible a link to the Blizz patch notes that show it was actually changed during Vanilla.. like i mentioned i honestly remember using the combo all during vanilla & possibly even most of BC.

SidSukana closed the tracker for this bug stating:

"It does not stack with, and is replaced by casting [Ghost Wolf] or mounting.
Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Water Walking no longer breaks when the target shapeshifts."
