Faction NPCs dont respond to PvP

So, recently I got attacked in Astranaar by a horde Raid. I said to myself 'youre under your flightmasters protection so youre safe' but hell no. The flightmasters just ignore PvP. As a lot of other Faction NPCs, got attacked by a mage who obviously knows this since he ran into the flightmaster in Felwood which didnt care, then blinked into a hunter trainer (lvl60 mind you, both mage and trainer) and neither the trainer, nor the pet did anything. Luckily the usual Wolfs around the forest at least recognized an enemie and helped us kill him, but welp, noones safe anymore. Hide your wife, your kids and your CHaracters, PvP is near and no NPC does bother at all.

 

Btw, already posted this on the bugtracker, but since it hasnt even been read (and created for more than a week now) I felt like sharing the news with everyone so ppl might not get caught off guard by others abusing the obvious bug.

Yup, especially if lvl 20s attack in astranaar while I am standing under the flightmaster. With no aggro range. Same goes for other faction NPCs. But hey, if thats normal how come other npcs attack on range? (can be seen nicely within the daily raids of lakeshire or tarrens mill, especially civilians dont seem to care about 'wont attack unless attacked' when enemies are low enough)

as can be seen by the discussion, the flightmaster in neutral towns only attack if attacked, the others do actually have an aggro range. But that doesnt count for every npc overall, which is kinda weird. Guess theres no telling then which should and which shouldnt attack.
