If you had spent even 5 minutes looking into this though, you will have discovered the Devs have provided a solution to this problem as previously mentioned.

Just type ".wr on" and all whispers from players outside of your group/guild or friends list are automatically blocked. I don't use any add-ons and haven't had a single spam message since enabling this (now 28 hunter and 24 paladin)

Go cry somewhere else you ungrateful muppet.

You can make right-click chat bans permanent by ticking a box in the addon control panel.

Type /st in game to access Control Panel.

I have no problem what so ever with deleting my toons and deleting my account here.  im not emotionally attached to this game the way i was in actual vanilla, i play an hour or 2 a day max and not every day.  It does not matter to me how "good" a game is, if I have to suffer spam that there is no reliable way to block FOR EVER then the game is garbage. PERIOD.

Yes I know the fan bois are now all going to come out of the woodwork and tell me they love it even with the spam and thats fine.  I on the other hand cannot abide the non stop annoyance of the spammers where i have absolutely NO reliable way to block them.  Its like playing poker in vegas and winning every hand, all the while being constantly stabbed in the eye by some of the other players.

You do realize you can /ignore (Players name) to ignore people.
