Target players work-around

Recommended Posts

So I'm a big healbot fan but miss that you can't use /target in the vanilla version.  I use this for blessings and the like on my pally.

Anyone know a good work-around for this?  Can a macro be made that works the same as /target?

If not is there an alternative to healbot out there where this works? (must have the same features as healbot, be able to bind mouse buttons, resize and customise options etc)

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'm aware Grid works with Clique but don't really like ths option as you can't resize or customize things how I like in the current version of Grid.

Sorry I'll be more specific.  Using healbot in retail you can bind a mouse button to /target and this will target a player when you click them in healbot (same as the client UI as you stated above). However doing this in the vanlla version of healbot doesn't work.

I don't really want to use the client UI frames so the fact that /target works there doesn't really help me.  Unless you are saying bnding /target to a mouse button in the client UI will also work in healbot?  As far as I know though, it doesn't work that way.

I haven't tried TargetUnit("mouseover") so will give it a bash when I get home later. Thanks for your assistance. :)

Anyone else, further suggestions\alternatives welcome.

Thanks

I don't know about healbot but in vanilla "mouseover" doesn't work on ui elements. It only works on players in the 3d world. Maybe you can use clique to target healbot units.

Already tried this. Doesn't work, healbot seems to ignore it for whatever reason.
