Weird Connection - Lag Issues

Hi,

So far I haven't run in to anyone else with this similar problem.

When entering crowded areas such as Orgrimmar or Undercity or for example trying to fight in Alterac Valley I get constant freeze issues. Can't interact with anything and all players start running in to walls etc. This continues for good 5-10 minutes until the server finally disconnects me. If I close WoW manually and immediately restart, I can log in no problem as if the issue never existed and continue my business, until few seconds to few minutes later the issue persists again. Sometimes the issue also appears when I join dungeon groups.

Sometimes then for example in Alterac Valley after repeatedly restarting I can play 10-15 minutes no problem until the issue pops up again.

This never happens otherwise in regular zones when playing solo.

Deleting WDB or WTF folders fixes nothing, resetting router fixes nothing. I have no connection or lag issues normally in any other games and as mentioned, none in other zones in WoW. First I thought maybe it was Window mode but playing fullscreen or windowed has no effect whatsoever. Always run the game as administrator. Game not installed under my program files or anything. Tried turning off all addons no effect.

I don't know if anyone else has this issue or what could be the fix to this? Any ideas?

Yep. Exact same thing happening to me. Although, it seems not only in crowded places.

My connection is fine - I'm on a gigabit connection with AC wireless. Only WoW is messed up.

Random ultra lag spikes that can last 10-20 seconds and then catch up. Or, like you, I just stay lagged until an eventual disconnect a number of minutes later. 

I've reinstalled the game, disabled all addons, tried running it in different compatibility modes ... and nothing works. 

It's becoming unplayable. I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere .....

Signing in to say I'm having the exact same problem. It's really putting my group at risk when we raid and I can't pick up a mob or two because of lag.

multiple people in my guild with the same issue, so far all three i've asked are on AT&T networks, anyone else in this thread also on ATT? uverse, dtv, etc?

I just finish a game of league my ping was staying at 30-38 ping so honestly don't think it's affecting other games at all.

ATT as well with gigabit in California.  Having the same issue on Zeth'kur.  "Normal" lag that I've had since launch and randomly a 3-4 second lag spike once a minute.

Having lag issues for a day and a half now. AT&T also.

I live in NC , US and have AT&T fiber, and I have been watching a steady incline of MS the last 4 days, with today being the first day that It spiked  above 200ms and became unplayable. I have tried too many things to even list and nothing has worked.

I did call AT&T though and they couldn't find any issues with my line and said everything looked perfect from their end.

I have ran speed test many times and I am getting 14-18ms and 900ish download/upload speeds. I logged into retail wow and got a steady 33ms. I logged onto a US server Magic WOW and I got 30s ms there. Kronos was around 160-200ish ms and thats pretty high for me there. My account on Primal wow was over 400ms also.

I have a lvl 60 mage and I levelled up & geared up for over a month in the 90s MS. My guild did their first trial run on MC yesterday and my ms was in the 200s the entire raid and it really sucked, but not compared to today when 400 was the best I could do and sometimes lagging into 1000s.
