RP Interest Check / Request

So, gonna be 100% up-front and honest: I'm new here! When 'nilla WoW came out, I was a little low-level nublet who preferred by far to run around throwing fireballs at everything that moved rather than understanding the complexities of the end-game and gear grind, so I'm effectively re-learning WoW. Not only that, but the lore of vanilla is new to me, as well. Wrynn is gone?! What sorcery is this!

Jokes aside, I was a pretty in-depth RPer back on my 'live' WoW account before I got fed up with the choices good ole' Blizz was making and came here. I was looking (And hoping.) to start up a RP community on the Alliance side of Darrowshire. Horde, as well, but one step at a time! Currently, my 'main' (A FemDwarf hunter.) has the glorious level of 10, but in time, I plan on creating a full-fledged guild dedicated to getting people into it. Perhaps even sparking enough interest for Elysium's first RP server! But that's thinking big. Way too big for a lil' ole' Dwarf.

What I need from you guys, then, is a sort of shout-out to see who is interested. I see the discord, and a few other things. And that's great! But I'm going to be honest, I'm not a big Discord person... I'm looking for in-game guilds and characters. I could also use some early Vanilla RP addons. I'm familiar with the like of MRP and TRP, but I can't find any versions that go as far back. Chances are, they weren't around yet, but there -has- to be some sort of addon in someone's file bucket somewhere that has a similar function. Know of one? Drop it here, you'll make my life a -lot- easier!

TL;DR: I'm looking to start some mid-heavy RP shenanigans on this realm, and I'm starting by seeing who all is with me.

While you may not be one for Discord, it's the primary meeting place for RPers here currently, and all of your questions have been answered there, so even if you're uninterested in chitchat and whatnot, I would still highly recommend it - it's used actively to advertise RP, new guilds, events, etc.  

That being said, however: the guilds on Darrowshire Alliance-side currently are the Mithril Compass (an adventuring guild), Solstice (social RP, run a tavern in the Park), and United Lordaeron Crusade (military guild). Horde-side, there is a Forsaken guild called the Defilers, and a general Horde guild called Oathbound. There is a guild directory on our Discord that goes into more detail, or if there's any guild you'd be interested in, I'd be happy to answer questions or direct you to the right person! 

As for addons, most people use flagRSP. There are a couple of bugs however (doesn't work Horde-side), and Owlrrex, a member of our community, has created a fixed version available here. If you'd rather use the original, both working versions (0.5.6 and 0.5.5) are available here. 

Otherwise, if you're looking to make contacts IC, I'd recommend coming along to one of the weekly tavern nights. My guild hosts them every Friday at 10pm GMT+1, in the large Park tavern.

It is currently GMT+2 due to the clocks going forward. But I don't have so much time in my day that I'll go through old posts (not even my own threads) to change the time. If there's ever any doubt, it's always accurate in the announcements on the RP discord, and as a rule of thumb, it's always going to be at 10pm realm time, so you can always check in-game.

I know this is an older post but bare with me....I have started an RP guild (The Kinship) and have been reaching out in game, on forums, and discord to try to also get interest and bring a bigger spark to RP and recruit for my guild. my plan is for guild wide events, plots, and story lines that go beyond just a single weekly event that will give more opportunity for people to do character development and be involved in RP. I ran a heavy RP guild on retail for a few years and decided to reboot it on darrowshire. So I too am looking for people with interest in RP. I offer an IC membership with my guild so people already in progressive raiding guilds or other guilds can also be a member but remain in their guild and have the same opportunity for RP. So, even if you are not interested in joining a guild, id be more then happy to touch base about getting more RP going!

Hi, Ember.  A friend and I recently discovered Elysium and have made characters on Darrowshire.  We are very interested in RP and possibly an RP guild.  I'm going to be hitting 10 on my mage soon and will be able to talk in-game, but my character name is Nikaela.  Thanks and I look forward to meeting more RPers!
