Item duplication on Elysium

Hi,

I noticed something weird today. I've been trying to sell my Axe of the Deep Woods for abit now, and the prices on AH have usually been around 150-300g. Today I only found 1 priced at 90g, so I figured I would go ahead and buy it as well, since it was cheap. The axe was sold by the character "Theswissbank". Later a guy wanted me to C.O.D him an axe for the agreed price of 130g, so i went ahead and did that.

This is where it starts to get fishy, he sends me a mail back saying he found one on the AH for 90g (same amount as I bought mine for), so he returned the mail. However, I did not receive the Axe back in mail - how is this possible, I thought the C.O.D system was safe to use?

That's my first concern. The next concern is that if the user who "sent" me back the Axe is not exploiting, and I will just have to wait, he most likely got the Axe from the same seller as I did. Thirdly, I just decided to browse the AH again moments later, and lo and behold what I found - the same Axe, for the same price, from the same seller.

I just find it very weird that the same person accumulated 3 of those epic axes in the short span this server existed. You can see screenshots below. Also, if I do not receive my Axe back from the guy that I C.O.D'ed it to, I have a strong suspicion that he somehow managed to find a hole in the C.O.D system that allows him to accept items without paying the gold.

There was an issue wherein a player could get the COD item without paying through exploiting or hacking on Feenix server.

I suspect that they do the same hack here.

Don't COD items. If someone wants to buy such an important item, they will come to find you and trade you the money to get their item.

It's not entirely uncommon to hold CODs, but it's usually for this particular reason: A very rare item on the AH  That someone want to sell at their inflated price, they see you post same item in front of theirs, so they whisper you on another toon to COD and just let it rot there, while their item now sits in AH with no competition.

There's not a lot to be gained for this guy to hold you up on a COD, if he's just going to sell the same item at the same price.  Therefore, I'm guessing this is two different people and the COD guy is a knucklehead.
