Downloading Game Issue

Unable to download game. Torrent link says Secure Connection Failed and SmashWIn says The Smash has expired.

I am having the same problem. Even when I could download from either spot, the game files were corrupted. I tried multiple times turning on and off my firewll and antivirus. I downloaded a copy someone had shared via a link to the google drive (I did scan for viruses before using the files. Still the google drive files had an error unzipping. I have never had this many issues just getting files. I have also noticed that while the devs ask us to post here and not with customer service, that they rarely ever response. I am glad for the community but so far no community member has been able to help. My problems have been for about a month's time maybe a little longer. Would love to play because I had played since halfway through the original vanilla up until legion release.

Just search for the client using any popular torrent site. That's what I did.

Just as an FYI, I successfully downloaded the game again today from the torrent on piratebay using uTorrent.  The Smash link was expired for me, too, though.  It may be worth a shot to try the piratebay link again.  I just tried it to make sure and it's still working.  https://pirateproxy.vip/torrent/5076223/

Downloaded from that link with uTorrent and every single mpq file is coming up corrupt. Pretty much the same as every other download I have gotten.....

That's odd.  I can try to upload my Data folder zipped to MediaFire and see if it works for you from there?

I have the original Install CD's. Wonder if thats the right game client version. Otherwise that may work.

Are your discs pre or post TBC?  I'm not sure if that would work.  There's the possibility you'd have to patch it.

Mine are vanilla install discs. I do have TBC install discs as well though lol

Note: the password in the comments which is required to unzip. You can also safely ignore the comment about a virus, I've scanned this torrent and used it myself since release safely.

Okay, in that case just install the game from original disks and then download the patches individually and apply them one by one until you reach 1.12.1 version.

This is what I did as well BTW as I have got still the original game I bought in 2005.

I did this three or four years ago when I upgraded my rig, and I still use the same installation from the original disks I did 4 years ago. Never downloaded anything from anywhere, just edited relamlist.wtf as I changed realm from one private server to the other.

Got the patches and have since gotten in and started playing. Thanks for the help. =)
