Alert players of chat ban/mute resistrictions

Twice now I have muted myself either through:

1. Sending damage meter addon printouts in multiple lines, which since the last major patch mutes party chat for 1 minute.

2. Use /who function to message healers or tanks to ask if they want to do a dungeon. This seems to ban me from say/yell/whisper/general/trade/world chats for an hour or more.

In this server and many before it, I rely on using /who to find people to do dungeons with because many do not use /World because of the spam or nonsense. It does so happen that I send up sending a lot of messages to different people on /who in a short period of time, in efforts to find people to run a dungeon with.

At the same time I also understand that this feature may exist in the game to inhibit gold sellers from spamming people. All I am asking for is some transparency and a public post detailing what types of chat mutes exist and their restrictions/punishments. If I knew these existed rather then finding them by breaching them, I would probably never get muted.

Anyways, overall, just either telling us through messages in game or a forum post, official information on this would help the greater community who are trying to play the game legitimately and likely at some point will or have run into this issue.

A reasonable request, however making this information public would also make the system pointless as they'd be telling gold spammers how to circumvent it.

Gold spammers already now spam every 1 minute and 10 seconds or so to avoid this.

I don't think any automated system will really discourage or stop them spamming, only human intervention. Which is sadly very time consuming and unrealistic for a volunteer project like this.

You must be doing something to trigger the system, I whisper plenty of people via /who to invite them without ever having triggered the mute. (I also spam plenty on /trade etc and never ever gotten a mute SO FAR.)

So, first of all, DO NOT ctrl c and ctrl v your messages,
do not repeat exact same messages or icons,
just calm down and wait a minute or 2 before messaging again.

Yeah I understand that the information cannot be made public, and suppose it's for the better.

And yeah you are right @smokeit, I started to type out whispers and have not been muted so it was definitely from pasting and sending lots of messages in short timeframe that muted me.
