Can't download game on Mac OS, only a blank white page comes up

When I click the torrent mac os download link, a white page comes up with the URL:

I've heard that I need to download a torrent client or something like that first, like utorrent. Will that be bad for my mac to download this stuff and then torrent? I thought I could just easily download the game.
