I'm planning on starting a guild on the Darrowshire server (Alliance) and I have a desire to start networking with other guilds in order to improve raid quality in the future. Right now the guild will be leveling/recruiting based, but as with all guilds our goal is to become a decent raiding guild. I understand, however, that raiding isn't something that can be done easily just by one guild, and it can actually be quite beneficial for any guild to be connected to a network of other guilds. It would enable sharing of manpower (for instance, if one guild's main tank is offline, instead of just giving up the guild can contact one of the guilds in their network to see if there is a tank to come along), the result of that example would be that even though a player's guild might not be raiding, they might be able to step in somewhere else and progress a little more which could help their guild in the future. I also believe that this network will help new players or maybe even players who are max level but are guildless to find a home on this server and to progress and have fun. This game is a lot more enjoyable with a group of people that you genuinely like talking to and questing/dungeoning/raiding with. A little backstory for the idea, I'm a manager for a business that I helped start, and the absolute most important element that set us up for success was building up a healthy network. I want to start this network not only to benefit my guild, but the entire player base. I admit that I wasn't able to sift through the literal thousand or so posts on here to see if this topic has been touched (and I didn't find a search function either), so maybe I'm a bit late to the table and if I am, I would greatly appreciate it if you were to point me in the right direction to see the posts on guild networking. Our guild is a national one with long history on retail which all means we want to stick together but in doing so we are limited by our numbers. Therefore, I support your idea and would gladly join.
