Manbeard 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2017 Holy crap I thought it was just me having problems with ATT... Uverse customer here in SC and I ping 1000+ to Darrowshire. I had to resort to tethering to my phone which works just fine. I'm actually in the process of getting rid of ATT since I'm having other problems - super slow speeds from Youtube and other streaming services but speedtests always come back fine. I get the feeling ATT does a lot of traffic shaping (not saying this is the case with Elysium).
Naeras 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2017 19 hours ago, Sarzen said: Not to be ungrateful but what is the point of having a help and support forum if a large issue with pages of replies is not getting responded to? literally all elysium can do with this sort of traffic issue is let their provider know (which they've done) and tell you to let your provider know (which they've done) there's nothing that you or I or elysium can do to Fix the problem. the only current work-around is setting a VPN service up. I suggest tunnelbear, there are others. YMMV and you get what you pay for, regarding VPN service. =)
Sarrowind 3 Report post Posted March 19, 2017 Actually there is something that can go a step further, although it is usually a last resort when you're out of options. i've had to do it with an ISP in the past for our corporate network. If you file a complaint with the FCC (in the USA at least), it tends to get things resolved while ruffling their feathers. They have SLA's to meet, end of story.

Trajor 2 Report post Posted March 25, 2017 There have been no updates on this thread but I think the issues may be temporarily resolved. The smokeping page at OVH closely resembled the amount of packet loss I was seeing and the packet loss disappeared on March 22. I've learned to check this page before I connect to figure out if I should use a VPN or NA Proxy first. http://smokeping.ovh.net/smokeping?target=USA.AS7018 http://rbx.smokeping.ovh.net/smokeping?&target=USA.AS7018
Strontium 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2017 I was able to complete a trace to elysium-project.org today for the first time since this crap started. Although I haven't tried since last weekend. Hope it stays this way.
