When trying to join a realm, sends me back to menu

I downloaded this game today, and my friend and I are both having this issue. We made our accounts, but when we go to choose our realm and all that, it says "connecting to game server" or whatever, and then a couple seconds later, it sends us back to the menu for selecting a realm. We are trying to connect to Darrowshire NA Proxy. Any help?
