MacFierce 4 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Hey all, Just curious what people's thoughts are about leveling a Holy priest. If the end goal is to be a raid healer, but you want to heal instances and complete quests along the way, would you start out Shadow spec and switch over to Holy/Disc at lv 40? I've seen suggestions that people start Disc/Holy and switch to Shadow at 40... Just looking for general advice. I really do intend to heal instances in my level grind but don't want quests to become so painful that they're impossible to do solo. If you're a Holy priest who enjoyed questing and doing dungeons on the grind up to lv. 60, what was your strategy? healingdead 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Pre 40 you can go shadow, you can go holy/smite, you can go shadow until mindflay and then go into disc. It doesn't really matter much tbh, as long as you have wand spec, spirit tap, and improved sw pain. 40 you certainly want to respec to shadowform. You can run with this until your late 50s, respec to a healing spec and get your gear. If you can holy nova farm, go do that. Otherwise you can go back to shadow for farming while being able to heal any 5/10 man now that you have a decent amount of +heal gear.
