Horde AFK/Loss-Leeching in BGs: Systemic problem

Recommended Posts

I find it complete bullshit that I get reported AFK and GM-island "warning" because im waiting to release in AV because they are capping northern gys. The ridiculous part is that for 6 months BGing with these Horde I have often been the ONLY person trying at all for objectives, as they enter, look at the names on the board and say (whether they even know for sure or not), "well, its a premade, JUST LOSE." They literally go to a useless or SAFE place on the map, or just stand near the GY and mindlessly fight for a few hks. You'll have 3 warriors sitting in OUR flag room. Frontliners just sitting in the FR... But I'm getting shitflamed everyday for doing something that is standard practice and actually a lot smarter than spawning back at IB.......

The open world isn't much better. Horde will run from fights, they will ride right past other Horde getting ganked, every cowardly thing you can think of. The other day some shaman was getting ganked in Burning Steppes. I'm riding past as he rezzes, and I see a rogue targeting him, then targets me, and is scurrying off. So I rode out of sight but then doubled back, expecting this was the situation I just saw... Sure enough the rogue has initiated and the shaman is rapidly losing hp, stunned. I coil and fear and dot, we fight, rogue dies. I friendly emote a /salute to the Horde shammy. He sits to eat and drink. I resummon my pet, lifetap. He mounts up and rides away. 4 second later, while eating slow food, I am ganked by the same rogue and a warrior. Easily a fight we would have won or just avoided had he just thrown a heal and covered for me to also mount up. But even if you save someone and fight for them, apparently they will just leave you to the wolves in the middle of a contested, high traffic zone right after a gank attempt... this is COMMON. NOT saying 100% ALL Horde players are like this, but enough of a majority that it has become STANDARD behavior to see.

It's really fucking ridiculous. I started out here trying to be the more helpful player I could, help anyone who asks, do plenty of runs and spend plenty of time on things I don't need at all. Always try to help turn a fight I see happening even if the odds dont look favorable, always try in BGs even against premades, hell I have probably done 30 WW quests farming troll tusks and charms and killing the cyclone, just because I wanted to be the type of player a server needs, willing to help their fellow Hordies (or allies if you are one) with anything if you are able. But now, I am losing my desire to be that person and my outlook has shifted because my overwhelming experience playing with TONS of you guys has been these core elements.

this was mostly done stream of thought im not editing I just want to get this out. Feel free to counter-shitpost me if you like. Stop calling me a fucking afk and a ninja. Never have done either unless i have actually typed /AFK to leave a bg i could not finish. And this isn't against the rules nor should it be, real life happens and leaving games where everyone is sitting in the flag room not trying is completely legitimate.

I find the same as  alliance. So many times ive come across someone being ganked so i help out. The second they get to run away they do so. Worst was a high level attacked someone so i helped.we could have easily taken him as a duo but the friendly went back to killing mobs (which werent attacking so wasnt trying to avoid repair cost), i died then the friendly died.
