New character not pulling any aggro

My wife made a Troll toon and she is unable to pull aggro on any mobs she attacks.  If she attacks them they just ignore her and reset their health.  She can walk up to any aggressive mobs and they wont attack.  Not only that her toon shows to be constantly resting and she can't discover any locations she runs across.

If I hit a mob once and stop attacking she can kill it but not pull aggro off the mob.

Any ideas?

Quick update, out of curiosity sake she ran to an inn and closed the program.  When she booted the game back up and logged in the problems seemed to have gone away.
