Noob (completely new to mmorpg) looking to form/join a party

Reaching Lv11 (warrior) now, found that many quest are too hard to do on solo, looking for player on similar level (+/- 2) to work together to complete quest and level up, my player name is Saimbelm, mostly active around Goldshire,

 

Most active time:

Monday ~ Friday: GMT 1200~1500, could be online from 0200~1200, but not always

Saturday & Sunday: GMT 0200~1500

I think, for a new Player, is the Elysium Realm better for you.

On Elysium you find all time a group, you must never quest alone.

 

For a new Player, your class is not easy to play, all other class are not so difficult.

Hunter and Warlock ar easy to play, only the first 10 level suck with hunter, after level 10, with your pet, you can make all quests easy.

You have pick the hardest solo class on a server where you are always alone.

Elysium is the opposite, you will have to find ppl to form parties so you will be able to tag quest mobs, quests that are "loot the X from mob" are a nightmare and get ready to be ganked quite a few times during your questing (per day)

Yes, thats right, on elysium are many bad guys and Stranglethorn is like Counterstrike, you die all 5 minutes.

I think the realm community on Anathema is 1000% better.

My 60 Main is on Elysium and my 30 Twink on Anathema.

If i like Action i go Elysium, if i like questing in peace and harmony i go anathema.

 

If you need help on Elitequests i can help you with my Level 30 Twink.

This Problem come every day on Elysium, to many peoples.

Most time the problem is solved after 15 Minutes.

Added Twink, if you log in we can see what can i do to git gud faster. Having said that, if Warrior is not a good choice for beginner, and there are other roles that are more sought after, i am fine to start with a new character. At the end of the day, it is just Lv11 which took me 2 days to reach.

Warrior is hard without good gear.

Good gear you become from dungeons, but is not easy to find groups for low level dungeons on anathema.

The result is, you have always a warrior with questgear, thats hard for this class.

 

With Hunter and Warlock your gear ist not so important.

The Pets tank the mob and you can make damage from behind.

 

Mages are funny, you can freeze the enemys and there will never come to hit you.

Priests are very stable, but boring to leveling (my personal think).

Druids are funny, fastest class ingame, can do all, dps, tank, heal, have stealth and more, funny for leveling from level 20 with cat.

Paladins are very stable, can tank, heal and "damage" but boring to leveling (my personal think).

Rogues make much damage and you have stealth, make fun.

 

I think Warlock is a good choice, have, pet, have nice mana/health management, have a free mount on level 40 and realy many nice gimmicks.

So i am about to start a new character, probably Warlock. The next question is, which realm this time? I tired many times but no success in connecting to Elysium, while i find it difficult to form a party in Anathema.

On Anathema you can play peacefull but most time you are complet alone.

On Elysium you are never alone, but you must wait long time for respawning mobs, because there are all over other players.

The most problem for fun begin with level ~30, many players of the other faction try to destroy your game.

There are many gankers on elysium, many player there make nothing else, only ganking all time (not a joke).

 

But you can make all dungeons, battleground, elitequests... because you find realy every time a group in few minutes.

Its your choice!

So TLDR, PvE Realm is the way to go for players new to MMORPG?

For me, a PvE Realm is not a option.

World PvP can make many fun and i dont like to lost the feeling when i see a enemy player or nice battles with 10 Players or more in Stranglethorn.

The problem is only, on Elysium are to many players, and many level 60 player gank low level player, all time.

Elysium have to many Players and Anathema have not enough players, there is no middle.

 

If you dont like the PvP feeling, you can join darrowshire realm.

Im not sure but i think darrowshire has more player as anathema.

Just tried the Naxxramas PTR, all new character start Lv60 max? Is it a realm for different play style?

So i sum the information from you so far,

Elysium - sounds good, but too populated, and i dont even manage to connect;

Anathema - Low on population, i find difficult to form/join a party;

Darrowshire - PvE only, i'd take your words and skip on this one;

Naxxramas PTR - Didnt hear a word from you, but new character start Lv60?

Naxxramas PTR is a Testrealm, not for regular playing.

The charakters start with level 60 to test raids and find bugs.

If you level as a warrior and tank dungeons, there should be no problem to find dungeon groups as it is the most sought after role for dungeons.

I just wonder how people form a party. I say again and again the the Stormwind City, but most people are Lv60 players and no one give a damn, while there are very few players in Goldshire. I dont have idea where can i find more low level players to form a party.

If you do /join world there is a channel that alot of people use to make groups with, and in addition you can go to higher population zones like STV and write the message in that general chat.

Execuse, what is STV stand for? And i type the message starting with /join will let many players to receive the message?

STV is Stranglethorn Vale, its a zone with a wide level range and because of that alot of people level there. "/Join world" Is a global chat channel that can be used by everyone.

I looked at the map, STV is south of Eastern Kingdom, if i need to get there from Elwynn Forest, i need to go thru Duskwood on the way which sounds like Non-Alliance Zone, is it dangerous to do so?

Dont move now at STV!

You can find in STV good groups from Level 30-45, because there are many Palyers in this Levelrange.

For now, you can use the World Channel or the local Channel, not the STV Channel.

Duskwood is an alliance zone, and STV was just an example of a good zone to look for people but you should only do that with the level appropriate zones to the dungeons you want to join/make

Join Elysium, is better for you!

You are new in the Game, go Elysium and play with other Players.

You can learn from the other Players and all will be fine.

Just in general the zones you level in, and you can also use the world channel, that might be better in the long run.
