Mail restriction

Recently discovered that you have set up a mail restriction, so that you have to be at least lv10 to send one.

Well, the gold spammers are most likely to be botters as well and as expected I just reported 4 bots in about 1 hour only in the Tauren starting area.

You have increased the amount of bots running around in the starting zones, since the gold spammers now also have to level.

Long story short, you made it worse than before.

First Point

Undo that change and let them spam @ lv1. Just advise anyone ingame to use SpamThrottle as an AddOn. Upload it to your forum and promote it via "GM Chat" on the server (the same way you told us about Hitmebaby obtaining the first legendary).

They could then only get through the spam filter of SpamThrottle with creating a new goldselling-website, which is a more costly way for them to sell their stuff and that's where we have to be heading. Make it economically unprofitable for them.

Second Point

You should also let players ingame know that they can report bots, and should do so!, with the ingame ticket tool. Many don't know of it and more don't think that you are working with it (I've talked to a lot, getting according answers).

Third Point

Check if you can add a shortcut to the table/tooltip which opens when rightclicking on another player. On retail you can go on with "Report Player" and choose between some options. Would make the whole reporting process a lot easier, and thus more attractive, especially for those who even they know that bots are destroying the server economy and gameplay still don't want to write a ticket.
