Hunter vs Feral PVP skill ceiling

doesnt mean it isnt possible, and even with heartbeat resists the gameplan still doesnt change that much, it just becomes more hectic and unreliable. Its still all the right moves to do -
Hunter vs Feral PVP skill ceiling
Mandoss replied to Oakenlix's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Hunter skill ceiling is EXTREMELY high when you factor in engineering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCN6OClqDNY Video is extremely RPish in some points, but its filled with tons of examples of what a hunter can be capable of with the right gear/skill and engineering tricks. There are even more tricks and items in the game that can give added benefits that arent even shown in this video (such as an item that puts a dot on you that you can use to pre-empt crowd controls). -
This EXACTLY. Vanilla and to a further extent, TBC were unique in the fact that NOT EVERYONE was on the same content, guilds followed the progression route, from dungeons to MC to BWL (later aided by ZG and AQ20 gear) to AQ40 to Naxx. It was not uncommon to see guilds still progressing in BWL while AQ40 was out, the top tier guilds were at the bleeding edge, but more casual guilds were clearing the older content. Quicker releases of raids is not a bad thing, this isnt Live WoW, older tiers of content do not become irrelevant the moment something new drops, and while it may be harder to "catch up" with quicker raid content releases it will set a much more positive experience, the guilds that have put in the time and effort and have the players of appropriate skill levels will be in the harder raids first and the ones that dont will take time and develop their rosters and skillsets untill they can get into the harder content successfully. That in my opinion was one of the BEST things about Vanilla WoW.

the ddos protection kicks in around the exact same time each day? I would think that a ddos would be a longer drawn out process not short fits and bursts almost as if scheduled on a time table. Are we sure its the ddos protection causing this?

to help anyone who is smart enough to fix this for us, Hemi, where do you live? I am in Western Canada, possibly an error in the lines around the area?

It seems in the evenings (NA time), usually around 0300-0400 ST, I get a MASSIVE spike in ping making the game unplayable for me. Every single other Internet based application I run is fine, stream is fine, Teamspeak is fine, Web Browser, Skype, ect ect ect. ZERO LAG. Just my game client. http://imgur.com/a/xBgrD (from tonight) I have run a VPN during these times and the lag clears away instantly, but since the free VPN I use has limited data available for me on a monthly basis this is clearly not a viable strategy to combat this. It started happening maybe a week ago or a little more?

Brave Adventurers Have Entered Molten Core
Mandoss replied to Unstop's topic in Official Information
combination of priest/druid buffs/priest shields to survive it, greater fire protection potions also helped many live. If you were watching the live stream though, several low health players died instantly from the bomb so its not always avoidable. As said before in this thread, the majority of our players in that raid have farmed MC both on Live an on several other private servers since, the majority of the success was attributed to experience with the bosses and know what potions/buffs/strategies would work for us while undermanning -

The only reason the bosses are "easy" is because it is patch 1.12.1, all classes had talents revamped multiple times. I suggest looking up the talent trees for patch 1.0 or any of the early vanilla patches and see how absolutely garbage they were back then. TONS more damage gained from talent reworks. Also 12+ years of theorycrafting and knowledge. People literally went into MC with full t0 because they didnt know better, nowadays people understand how to itemize for their class/role.

I know it isnt technically "blizzlike" but is there any possibility for target dummies in major cities when the game goes live? IMO its a pretty minor thing and a lot of players come back to vanilla to experience the raid content and many of us would love to have a tool available for min-maxing our dps and whatnot. I have seen this suggested on other servers before always with pretty mixed reviews, some love the idea, some hate have ANYTHING that isnt blizzlike no matter how minor.

Multi accounting is quite gay. Please remove it.
Mandoss replied to Testlord's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I tend to agree with this however I think some minor concessions should be taken into consideration. A happy medium if you will No multiboxing (aka multiple accounts logged in from the same IP, not just controlled via a 3rd party program) with the following exceptions to be considered and dealt with on a case by case basis. - In a main city it should be allowed (trading materials to and from a bank account, ect) - Inside instances so people may run alts through a dungeon if they so choose (NOT OPEN WORLD) - Mage services (providing portals/food/water to an alternate account) - World Boss Camping as long as that is all the account is doing (lets be honest, people will do it anyways and they will find ways of bypassing traditional methods of being caught such as using a VPN on one account so the two cannot be linked together anyways) the things I would wish to avoid is having a multiboxer with 5+ level 60's running around controlled by one person, even if its kept out of battlegrounds its still against the spirit of the game and ruins world pvp opportunities. Also having a level 60 following an alt around to assist leveling in open world should be prevented due to it being disruptive to the leveling experience providing an unfair advantage to the player with the 60 (in terms of making it impossible for another leveler to fight the player in pvp or to contest them for mob spawns/resource spawns). Essentially the Nostalrius stance on it PLUS allowing instance running of alts and allows guilds to more actively keep an eye on world boss spawns which would in turn generate more competition for those bosses and more opportunities for engaging large scale world pvp to claim the world boss kill.
