That is not how donations work. If you think it is I have some tough news for you: You're wrong. Donations is NOT the same as paying for a service. Donations is a gamble, there's no guarantee of a return on your investment and this is simply a fact. Suck. It. Up. Try a different currency. It wouldnt accept when I tried to donate 400 SEK (Swedish Krona) so I changed to 43 USD instead and it worked right away. EDIT: For anyone not wanting to "risk an investment". Just donate a small sum. Many small donations of just 1-5$ will make a big difference in the end. Worst that can happen is you loose 5$. Big deal right? Skip that Big Mac for one day.

Pick another currency. I tried to donate in SEK (Swedish Krona) but got an error. When I tried in USD it went thru without any problems.

Only if you pay for a service I think. Since we're talking donations here, who knows really. I'm guessing it falls under a different set of laws/rules/regulations perhaps. The way that they new donations are set up I dont think will be back-chargable though to counter this. Anyone with any clarification or insight?

Some simple math. Been playing here since Nost start so around 18 months give or take. (Not counting the 6 month downtime). So far I have never donated even once, I am not proud of this fact. 18 months of game time on retail = ~216$ 18 months of game time on Nostalrius = FREE (and a whole LOT more fun than the trash that is retail). I have now donated 43$ as it is what my current economic situation would allow. That still means I've still saved 173$ from not playing on retail, AND I've had alot more fun. TLDR: Go donate, every little bit counts, be it 1$ or 50$. It is BEYOND easy with paypal. Just click the link, choose the currency you wish to use and send. Done. Lets hope we get to see server up again before wednesday reset!

Raid content in vanilla got alot more overlap than retail. This means that people will continue run pretty much all raids despite already farming higher content. The reasons being: UBRS - Flask recipie, Turban is bis until Mishundare, shield is really good etc. ZG - Many BiS items that lasts to AQ/Naxx. Mounts. Idols for enchants. Bloodvine set, ZG heart for raid-buffs. AQ20 - Many bis items. MC - Bindings for TF, items from Majordomo/Rag that are BiS until Naxx. BWL - needs no explanation. TLDR: Even AQ40/Naxx guilds will be running most of above content because of stated reasons. Dont worry.

I actually agree with this. Even if Anathema currently is about 2x the max-size of retail vanilla servers (5k+ vs 2.5k in retail) I prefer a huge population, as does most other players it would seem. The sweetspot seems to be around 7-10k without introducing lag and lowering draw distance.

As a 1-binding-chump I'd also like to get it "properly" fixed until I get my other binding. Speaking of legendaries, anyone gotten around to testing if Sulfuras procs are correctly tuned here? I got it both here and on retail but I havnt been able to test it out yet. I would assume the proc on retail is unchanged from vanilla days since there's never really been a reason to do that. TF was nerfed in TBC as we know due to the fact that tanks was using it well into TBC endgame due to lack of a "real" upgrade.

You dont need 100% participation of a community in a survey to get a "good idea" on the lay of the land. That is how polls work. However, you will probably get a skewed participation due to the fact that many chinese and Russian players dont visit the forums at all because they dont understand english.
