That would depend on three things: 1. Playstyle 2. Group composition 3. Gear. If you enjoy the aoe-tanking playstyle and have the group and gear to support it, then have at it!

You should be using daggers for Vaelstrasz. You shouldnt be using daggers for anything else though.

I would also like to point out that to my knowledge resisted and even partially resisted procs still generate the full amount of threat. I calculate approximate threat value of the enchant by testing procrate and then some pretty basic math. Lifesteal procrate = 30% (approx) Lifesteal damage = 30 Lifesteal healing = 30 Alcors Weapon speed = 1.3 Threat modifier = 130% (defensive stance+5/5 talent) Healing threat modifier = 50% total threat of the proc: (30x1.3)+((30x0.5)x(1.3)) = 58.5 threat (assuming I have the workings of the healing theat-modifiers correct) ((58.5/1.3)x(0.3)) = 13.5 TPS EDIT #1: It's also important to remember that overhealing produces no threat, and a good chunk of the healing done by the proc may very well be overhealing and thus produce 0 (zero) threat. EDIT #2: Another additional point is that lifestealing can crit, and by crit I mean by ALOT. I've personally had lifesteal crit for 500+ damage (yes, fivehundred), this with Nightfall and wlock curse up on Chromaggus. EDIT #3: Formatting.

In addition to having aoe gear with thorns effects on it I use the following simple tactic: For 2+ targets: Shieldslam, tab, sunder, tab, revenge, tab, sunder, tab, shieldslam. For 3+ targets: Spam battleshout (yes, Battleshout, not demoshout). Battleshouts gives VERY good threat assuming you actually buff everyone of your group, and yes over-writing the buff also generates threat.

The official reason; To make it more blizzlike instead of having it last for just 1 day due to stockpiles, I agree with this decision (numbers may have been a bit too inflated though). 2. Normaly when it comes to 2handers I would say pick the slower one with the better stats, HOWEVER considering the huge difference in DPS (11dps) I'd definitely go with the epic sword. And just as you said yourself, with 2h fury weapon speed doesnt matter as much.

Make a start-attack macro for all your damage abilities, that way you wont have to right click new targets all the time.
