You Should fix Battlegrounds on Elysium
Nelythia replied to vazed's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Eh.. PvP gear should be better than raid gear, especially for PvP purposes. PvE gear should be better than PvP gear, especially for PvE purposes. You see, that is something that doesn't work together. Even blizzard had struggle with this for multiple expansions, and they still haven't done a good system. Anyways, Elysium staff won't customize the stats or items, so no need to talk about it in general. As every other change and update, it will reach Elysium and Darrowshire eventually. They said its being tested on Anathema first, and since neither Elysium nor Darrowshire got an actual core update for around a month according to Github fixes that are not live on those 2 but in release stage, we may see it soon. -
This should be in the thread that is already open, in the suggestion area. Also you mean Collectors Edition pets. There are no blizzcon pets until WotLK I believe. TCG pets and items were mostly introduced in TBC and later. In vanilla there are only 2 or 3 tabards and nothing else.

TCG - How to impliment it, safely and respectfully.
Nelythia replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Fair enough but there are cool items, like the fishing chair, or tabards. It's not mandatory, but it would be cool to see them ingame. -
I downloaded torrent, changed wtf file to: logon.elysium-project.org, I registered via elysium project website, confirmed email & cannot play

You renamed the .wtf file which is wrong. Edit its contents with any text editor, not the name. -
TCG - How to impliment it, safely and respectfully.
Nelythia replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No, definitely not. That would give elysium a lot of trouble as you receive something for donating. The way it works now, donate for nothing in return, is the only current method without being in big trouble. TCG should be added and customized in form of gold. However not in form of small amount of gold for a spectral tiger, because everyone will just buy it then. It should be a really big amount of gold for such TCG items, so that they are and will still be rare. For example 40.000 gold for a spectral tiger, or even more, would be justified, very hard to achieve but still possible for hardcore players that want to have it. It would also remove a lot of gold out of the economy by doing that. Don't copy warmane at least and let every third person ride or have TCG mounts/items. -
Custom Elysium breaking news at login screen
Nelythia replied to reddwarf's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
In my opinion a great suggestion and feature, especially since some people are confusing the breaking news from retail to be already elysium ones. I do however agree it would be too much work. You would need to offer a client with this patch and everyone would have to re download it, or everyone would have to patch their hosts or client themself, and the amount of people that will do that is probably very small. -
IT IS about them and us. Gold selling.

You should delete your character again, Mahtan. -
1-60 in /played 3 days 9 hours 30 minutes
Nelythia replied to Varrak's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Scott it is common knowledge that all vanilla cores are based on MaNGOS which is backported from TBC. Mobs have HP, Damage, resist, armor, etc values from TBC, not vanilla. Of course there are a lot of accurate adjustments based on research done by the QA staff, but its definitely not like vanilla. -
1-60 in /played 3 days 9 hours 30 minutes
Nelythia replied to Varrak's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Good job. @ above, not that hard as warrior but of course not as fast as 3 or 4days played. 5 to 6 days played are the minimum -
Literally the same as on retail or it won't please the players. There were players just as rich on retail vanilla that were farming thousands of golds and finished the game completly for the state it was in. I remember a nihilum mage with over 250 days of /played at the end of vanilla, showing his bags with more than 60.000 gold and his consumeables. There were alone 3 german players as well that reached the gold cap of 214,7k in TBC, that went with almost the whole amount later into WOTLK etc. New players will always be behind, if they know how to play the AH or how to make ingame currency otherwise, they will catch up eventually. Also you forget that normal flying + epic flying alone removes 5900 gold out of the game for each player that buys both. In addition to that you have new spells from trainers, again a lot of respecs, vendor prices, repair fees, quests that require you to provide gold, with sunwell isle a title for 1000g or even 10k in TBC I can't remember. Gold will always be generated as soon as you kill a mob and loot his silver, or vendor/AH his drops. Gold will always be spent as well, by the reasons above and certainly many more. Gold will also not stay only on rich players, it will move around and spread across players as well eventually. EDIT: It was a Method mage actually. Found the screenshot, and that is only one of such hardcore players like we have here too:

No. No caps. Not blizzlike and it will piss A LOT of players of.

Yes this was good on Nostalrius and kept intimidating players to not break rules.

Make Jazzrik give +5 Bloodsail reputation early
Nelythia posted a topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
http://db.vanillagaming.org/?npc=9179#wh-comments Jazzrik - Blacksmithing Supplies NPC in Badlands, does only give +1 reputation towards Bloodsail Buccaneers each kill in vanilla and TBC. This is changed to +5 reputation each kill in early WotLK. So instead of requiring 20999 kills in vanilla/tbc, you need 4200 kills in wotlk. He is the only NPC in the whole game until Cataclysm that gives reputation after achieving revered with Bloodsail Buccaneers. Exalted is not possible without saving the Bloodsail quests you get from Neutral & Friendly too. Only TBC has been confirmed for Anathema, and lets not lie to ourself, it will be TBC for Darrowshire and Elysium as well. No one knows if these servers however proceed towards wotlk and beyond. As such, my suggestion, to prevent longer time disabling of Jazzrik who is the only vendor for alliance in Badlands by killing him 20999 times, give us a +5 rep reward each kill so it only has to be done 4200 times. Which would change the time needed to reach 20999/21000 also from ~75 days (5 min respawn timer after each kill currently) to only 20-30 days. No matter how the elysium staff decides, I'll grind it to exalted. Because I am that bored and dedicated to complete this game. I just feel bad for leveling alliance in Badlands as I am disabling their only vendor in the whole zone. I apologize, but I have to. -
WTB all your Heavy Junkbox. 1396 more required, paying 2g each box.

Make Jazzrik give +5 Bloodsail reputation early
Nelythia replied to Nelythia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This is a fair point, and as I said on the github commit that was actually made within 5 or 10 minutes by guybrush it is definitely not anywhere high on their priority list and I know & understand that. It would just be appreciated if they could think about this change, as it's neither damaging nor that time consuming to implement. I am not a dev, so I can't exactly tell if it really only took 5 or 10 minutes, but after Guybrush saw my suggestion in the Discord chat he made this commit and replied in the chat 5 or 10 minutes later. -
Make Jazzrik give +5 Bloodsail reputation early
Nelythia replied to Nelythia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
It may be meaningless for a lot of players, however there are players, like me and Rakesh, who are trying to "finish" this game, kinda. This includes pushing all reputations to as high as they are possible to be pushed. It is just another style of gameplay. PvE/PvP/What we do. There are probably dozens of other playstyles that don't focus on PvP/PvE only or go as far as trying to finish the whole game (for now). I personally really do not see any issue with buffing it, in fact it actually benefits everyone that does it. Due to the high population and the amount of time it currently takes for only one person... you will never have this NPC free again and while you can push it in groups and share the reputation, it does not work cross faction. It probably shouldn't be as high as +25 each kill as this would push down from 75 days raw played time to roughly 3 days. Increasing it to 5 or even 10 should be fine and not a big deal, honestly. It can honestly be justified the same way as limiting BG premade caps, lowering respec costs to 25g maximum, making NPC's, quest objects, herbs/ores etc on dynamic respawn timers. And many many other changes that are ""not blizzlike"" It would certainly be different than it was on retail vanilla, but so is respec cost and the other things I just mentioned. -
Why Nostalrius PvE was flourishing and Darrowshire isn't/won't
Nelythia replied to Summer's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Both your ideas won't work. Why would anyone transfer from Elysium to Darrowshire who is already established there, has a guild etc? The only players that may transfer are casual players that are tired of being ganked (and ganking on ely isn't even bad, I leveld a 55 warrior while alt-tab playing on Darrow) and potentially later regret it to have transfered, or quit alltogether, because the realm does not offer anything besides the "duh huh i cant get ganked huhuhuh" mentality everyone seems to have. Crossrealm Battlegrounds will help the current and future rankers, not a single doubt about that. But I finished my ranking to 14 and so did many others, we all stopped PvPing after this. Not because we are done, rather because you are tired of pvping after you ranked. It takes soo much time and it hits very hard on your mental and physical health, its not a joke. Casual PvPing doesn't really exist on Darrowshire besides the AV weekends, where most queue into fresh AV's for Black Lotus and then quit, so you end up having a 30v20 game as horde, when it started as 30v30. I completly agree with anything Zhera and other veterans said. I started with Nostalrius PvE launch and quit (now) Anathema due to it being established on ZG Patch AND having peaks of over 12.500 every day, which was unplayable due to massive amount of lags and delays, and of course the very dumb hackfix of decreasing the view distance (which elysium repeats as of now on their fresh server). I know at least 50 players that I was close friends with during playing, that have quit and wait until a solution has been found or a merge has been confirmed. They do not want to play on a server that is doomed to death. The major faction imbalance is one of the biggest reason, but especially the general population isn't that healthy as some of you make it seem to be. Today we had, since a VERY long time, a peak of 1.9k players and everyone says that we are growing and the server is healthy again, but in fact it isn't. Don't forget that goldsellers, bots, multiboxers and your occasional "I will try vanilla out for 3 days" player will count towards the playercount on /who. I said it before and I say it again, in regards of rule violation Darrowshire does it more than Elysium which has times 5 our population. We have so many bots that are not touched by GM's, so many players that create multiple accounts with warlocks and click alts to summon themself across the world as they wish, in general way too many 60s multiboxing and helping their leveling alts, because they're too lazy. Out of 1900 peak today, I dare to say at least 500 of that can be substracted due to above reasons. Either a merge needs to happen, which is very unlikely for now as the different timeline does in fact have a serious reason to not do it yet. However, saying that we do not get a merge due to the "PvE" server status is one of the most stupid arguments anyone could ever bring. First of all, as said ganking isn't even that bad on Elysium. And, it is part of the game. You get ganked during leveling by NPC's as well, do you quit killing NPC's alltogether and just explore zones for XP to level up? No. You man up and just level further, with many deaths depending on your class and/or experience of the game. Same counts for PvP. Real corpse camping does exist, it happens every day a lot on Elysium, but don't be scared that you will be victim of it. No one will ever do it to you if you're just a normal player playing the game. There is simply no reason to and its a waste of time for them as well. And even if you get ganked, hell just logout play an alt or something else, go to a different zone or just do a dungeon instead. Especially with 50+ when you need to gather pre-bis raid, you can avoid honor ganking by rankers by just grinding instances. You need to do it eventually, why not combine it with leveling instead. Secondly, Blizzard eventually opened transfers from PvE to PvP servers, quite quickly after releasing server transfers in general. They even merged PvE and PvP servers before, or rather made them into the same Crossrealm merge thingy So, instead of merging it now, as its very unlikely, at least confirm a merge when we are on the same timeline as the other servers, OR give us a confirmation about TBC and if we can have a different solution with the expansion. For example offering a transfer to any of the other servers, as you did with Zeth'Kur. There are a lot of players that did not join Darrowshire because of the PvE status, rather we were escaping Anathema due to its status it had when Darrow was launched. Don't punish us being stuck on a PvE server when all we cared about was having a fresh start without lag, without 12.5k+ peaks, without delays, without too low view distance etc. At least give us a chance to play on any of the other servers without rerolling. Its not fair spitting into the face of a lot of veterans and telling them to throwaway literally hundreds of days /played, effort and time invested. -

I do, as I will grind one of it to exalted if its possible. Ty -
GMs won't be able to assist and devs won't take their time to go into the DB entry of your character to remove it. Sorry, but you are pretty much out of luck on this issue.
