The current plan is that they will remain on Valkyrie.

Unfortunately that is not going to be possible. The Valkyrie database is massive and has significant differences to both Nostalrius database and Elysium database. It would make our already daunting task even more difficult.

There will be a fresh start PvP realm.

The Nostalrius PvE server was quite "fresh". The only raids available were Onyxia and Molten Core, and the Alterac Valley patch had recently been introduced. While it's obviously not the same as starting from scratch, it is very close. Furthermore, as the population of the PvE server was under 5k, it does not seem reasonable to divide the small(ish) PvE population even further.

If you were banned for spamming or something similar during the last week, that ban should be lifted. If you were banned before the closing announcement or you were banned for something serious during the final week - botting, cheating, hacking - then your ban will remain in place. You can just change the realmlist.wtf - the client itself will be the same. Please remember that Nostalrius PvP server had a massive population, significant portion of which was under-60 and another big chunk was fresh 60s still struggling in Molten Core. The number of players/guilds farming BWL and ready for AQ40 was large on its own but not large when put in propotion with the total server population. Yes, you will see characters in full T2 gear or R13 gear. But they are a minority, not the majority. Nostalrius population was constantly growing on both the PvP and the PvE realms, up to the closing announcement. Let me make this absolutely clear: a fresh 60 from Elysium will not stand out like a sore thumb on the new PvP server. There will be hundreds of other characters in the exact same situation. It will not be a ghost town of "being left behind" or anything like that. Now, having said that, if your primary objective was to be on the bleeding edge of progression at all times, then unfortunately that objective has now become significantly more difficult to achieve.

The database transfer has not happened yet. We will release more information with further details once all the technical hurdles have been overcome. Please be patient.

The new PVP realm will start from where Nostalrius finished. This means that progression will start just short of war effort. Former Nostalrius staff members are working in all the teams that Elysium has, cooperating with the Valkyrie/Èlysium staff.

I believe he meant that one should look at all the comments, not just one. What you are saying is logically true based on how we know the datamining worked but this quest was also notorious for the drop rate for the quest item being very difficult to get. It certainly was not 100% drop rate. Personally I never finished it during retail vanilla despite killing dozens and dozens of whelps.

This problem was solved on Nostalrius and can/will be solved here as well.

Hello. Disengage in vanilla is notoriously difficult to use and rather ineffective. First, you need to be inside 5 yards from a mob, so basically in melee range. Second, the mob needs to have at least one other creature in its aggro list. Third, the Disengage "spell" is a physical attack ability that can be blocked, dodged and parried, and it can just miss as well. So using it is a decent method of letting your pet overtake you on the aggro list of a mob but it will not get you out of combat the way Feign Death can. It can save you in an instance if you steal aggro and FD is on cooldown - wait for the mob to get at melee range, hit the Disengage button and hope for the best.

Make sure that you're not using any 3rd party software that could interfere with your connection.

This problem wouldn't exist if people used Trade in cities for trading, the LFG channel for groups and leave World for idle chatter. Unfortunately, most players find the convenience of using World for everything so useful that they do not bother with the other channels. Nothing we can do about it as we do not want to start strictly regulating chat usage. If there are spammers - people who repeat the same or a similar message every minute - or players who violate our chat rules, then do take a screenshot, make a ticket, attach a link to the screenshot in your ticket and Gamemasters will take it from there.

Travelling like that shouldn't be a problem.

Imgur does not delete pictures, ever, unless the original uploader issues the deletion code given to him/her at the time of upload. Hence why most people recommend using it over Photobucket and other, older services. The only issue is that Imgur does not accept vanilla WoW screenshots automatically as they are in TGA form that it does not support. Personally, I use Irfanview. In the case of a single picture, I just open it in Irfanview, press Ctrl+A to select all, then press Ctrl+C, go to imgur, select Upload, press Ctrl+V and then click upload. In the case of multiple pictures, open Irfanview, go to Batch rename/conversion, select the folder where your pictures are, select output folder, make sure that output is JPG and click go. Then you can use the multiple upload feature of Imgur to create a gallery.

If you do see people breaking our chat rules in any chat - General, Trade, World - please take a screenshot, upload it to imgur.com or somewhere else that you like to use, then make a ticket and include a link to the screenshot in your ticket. GMs will then handle it.

That one you have to take up with Blizzard then!
