Trumpnado is correct. The odds are fantastical, that your username/password combination could be mined, something like 0.00013% chance according to Cloudflare but the possibility exists. Use 2FA.

It is working. We've had higher than usual amount of tickets recently so response time is longer than usual. Please remember that not all GMs can solve all issues and some issues can only be solved when you are online.

Apples and oranges. Many of the banned accounts are also guilty of account sharing, which always results in a permanent ban.

I don't understand where this idea comes from that we'll just willy-nilly unban everyone. Anyone can make a ban appeal. Making one does not mean that it is automatically granted. Just like any other ban appeal, we review the evidence and check that no mistakes were made. So far, about 4 players have been unbanned. The 30+ others have not and at this stage, it is extremely unlikely that anymore would be unbanned. Many of them have admitted to doing things that we consider "win trading", even if the players themselves think otherwise. If you have suspicions of players engaging in illegal activities, please make an in-game ticket or PM me directly on the forums. Don't post public lists of names.

We have re-verified the win trading cases and few innocent players have been unbanned. The other bans will remain in place. Do not account share, do not sell PvP ranking services, do not win trade.

We have just suspended a number of players for violating our terms of use when it comes to PvP. These players farmed honour in an organized manner without any intent on actually playing the game. While the game mechanics currently enable them to do so, it is clearly against both our server rules as well as the spirit of the game. If you cannot be bothered to actually fight in the battlegrounds, then do not join them. The ring leaders have been suspended for 14 days and the other participants for 7 days. Normally the GM team does not publish any information on investigations or punishments. We will not divulge their names, but we felt that it is important to send a message to the whole PvP community that such behaviour is not only craven, it is breaking our rules and thus players participating in dodging will be punished.

Selling raid loot for gold is allowed. If you are in contact with gold sellers, you could be in trouble as well. I cannot give you a general rule as it depends on the context.

There is still much work left with vanilla. Speculating about Wrath is far too premature.

@Trahald Modifying the client is grounds for permanent ban. It does not matter whether you've been doing it for 2 months or 2 hours. Just like gold buying gets you a permanent ban, regardless of whether you bought it 2 months or 2 hours ago. Account sharing gets you a permanent ban, regardless whether you did it just once or for months. End of story and case closed.

We tried premade vs premade priority on Nostalrius. It was a disaster for every player that did PvP, whether to rank or for fun. The current system is the least evil of our options, unless the community is willing to accept disabling group queuing for WSG and AB. If you suspect win trading, account sharing, dodging or other organised method of farming honour outside the way it was intended to be done, please report it to me.
