    FOV fix - allowed?

    Redundant threads are fun!
  2. I said you're offended because you felt the need to make a reply to a topic of faith's that was only about insulting him. Let him post, it doesn't hurt anyone, if you don't like his posts I suggest you ignore them. Don't take me the wrong way, not really looking to start beef with random people.
  3. Why? Let the system work as it worked back then. Let everyone get their mounts, I say.
  4. I just take about 24-ish pictures per second and throw them all together in a very fast sequence.

    Graphic mods

Not quite. Texture modding could get you banned, since the anti-cheat system could pick up on it. Sometimes it doesn't. But why take the risk? Just wait until they whitelist it, if they ever do (which they should).
  6. I actually got to speak with a friend who works in this area and he said quite the opposite. But it doesn't matter if it's true or not, if they chose to work on the old servers first, then it is quite natural that the fresh server is not done yet. They're a very small team. If you ask me, however, if I agree/am happy with this choice, the answer is a very simple no. But I understand their reasons.
  7. I don't think it's something you can get banned for since it doesn't modify any files directly. But you never know, just wait for an official reply.
  8. It is not delayed. It simply isn't done yet and they have very limited resources to work with. I firmly believe that the theory of trying to avoid mass desertion from the old servers is wrong.

    Ideas for an Addon

Oh lord, please make some addon that can track players buffs/debuffs and target buffs/debuffs in separate bar anchors. I would build a shrine for you! Edit: Much like ElvUI does it. (In the picture you can't actually see any debuffs on the players or buffs on the target, but you get the idea, I hope.)

    Queue Management

Anyone who seriously supports this notion beyond queue-skips for those who disconnect within a certain time period is beyond selfish. I'd like to note, before anyone accuses of me of anything, that I will play on the fresh realm, so there won't be any 60s there to get ahead of me in the queue, so I hope everyone can trust I speak out against this idea based only on personal opinion and general principle. I won't really bother addressing the donation suggestion, even the OP knows it's one of the last things most people would like to see on this server. Regarding the level 60 requirement to skip queue, I find this the sort of self entitled kind of crap that the private server scene accuses "retailers" of, to demand and expect things delivered to them because they play the game, so therefore they must deserve it more than others (I don't agree with this logic, I only set it forth as an example). Why would someone who owns a level 60 be more deserving than anyone else? Do you own a level 59 character? Well, you get вау all, get back in the queue you filthy casual! Please never ask for favoritism of any kind. Having people skip a queue because they dc'ed is one thing, it helps alleviate frustration, but anything beyond that is unnecessary. Are you getting late for your raid/bg? Can't get home earlier? Well, such is life, it sucks that you have to wait, but so does everyone else and if your obligations and schedules are keeping you behind so be it, real life comes first. This system won't motivate people to reach level 60, it will cause frustration, anger and outrage for the non-60s in the community. Weren't a lot of people in the old servers below 60? Why don't they deserve to get back to their characters as quickly as you can get back to yours? Are you more important than them? I believe any rational person would not believe themselves above the other members of the community, at the very least when it comes to status regarding the project. You waited months for the revival of the server, queue times won't kill you.

    About Pc requirements

Raids will be the same time? What? The more people you have in your screen the more things your computer will need to process so, yes, the more of a performance impact it will have, in broad terms. Raids might also prove more stressful for your machine for the previous reason. However, if you don't try to run everything at the maximum detail all the time I don't see a reason for you to suffer performance issues, unless there is a really big amount of people next to you.

    About Pc requirements

You can run it smoothly for the most of it, yes.
  13. It was all a lie! Burn them! Too many threads on this, please stop.
  14. I would advise that you don't assume whether or not people played during those times. They might have and could have differing opinions. Some might just be misinformed. For some, for what would be incomprehensible to me, TBC might not be their favorite iteration of WoW, for they might not like how it impacted the game.

    PTE

This is great, can't believe I missed it. Thanks.

    Roleplay on the new server

As a person who has no interest whatsoever in RP outside of my DnD Wednesday nights, I say to you: RP away, have fun, make sure you don't inconvenience others...somehow...
  17. TBC was when WoW was at its' very best. "killed the community instantly". Huh... opinions are a funny thing.

    PTE

If they do TBC, it will take a long, long time. So don't necessarily plan anything around that. Yes..Yes! No more rogues! The warglaives are mine! mhuhahahahah!
  19. It probably isn't a big issue. Even if it is, and you do it with someone you trust won't report you, I'm sure there won't be any issue.

    Ninja looting allowed?

Ninja looting is an essential part of a MMO. Let players issues be solved between players. No need for the teacher to solve every fight.

    so about the chinese...

    Great thread, good discussion.
  22. I left because of the reasons you mentioned, actually. Initially it was rather fun, leveling had a nice progression to it and the story and zones were quite interesting. Endgame was meh. But those that I know that continued to play are very happy, especially with the upcoming content and everything, Blizzard hasn't really failed in that department in my eyes, at least they're trying to deliver content more steadily this time around. Little too late for me, but they might just change the hearts of others.
