Damn, you still play on that?
  2. Should be no problem, unless your girlfriend always follows you around and casts the same spells as you, at the same time.
  3. I believe it will start on 6.1, enjoy.
  4. Maybe the people implementing it on the PvE server weren't the same that did it on the PvP server? It might be a long shot, I don't really understand the technicalities that happen behind the scenes. Even if it takes the same (or even longer) amount of time, it's fine by me. I have no rush.

    What resolution is that?
  6. Pretty sure his message was one of patience and he asked for a clarification on the launch order, not really toxic, if I dare say.

    Shut down again?

This has been answered over and over again. Research, please.

    Gold Farming Etc

I reckon it will still be a problem, since there will be no IP ban for them.
  9. Throwing my two cents on this one, and it may be an unpopular opinion, but TBC was the best iteration of WoW, in my opinion.

    A trip down memory lane...

Damn you hunters! Stealing our shadowcraft!
  11. I still maintain my theory that all releases on the fresh realm will be a bit faster than on the old Nost, since the content is already prepared and optimized. That being said, still a good amount of months, though.
  12. You'll find many people looking for others in the Guild Section, good luck!

    Infection

Are there a few very toxic and very vocal people who seem to be unable to stop their trolling/complaining/toxicity? Yes. Does that mean that the whole community will be as such? No. What is love?
  14. I went to sleep, woke up, had my coffee and the existence of this thread continues. And grandpa said things don't last forever, pft...
  15. At this point I thoroughly believe people are using this thread to up their post count. (Oh, the Irony!)
  16. Is that a Dal'rend's set your brother is using?
  17. Cut the quote so I don't spam much. Anyway, yes, people have already ran the argument that gearing up can be quick and painless with the right amount of help in the older servers by me. I moved on to explain my reasoning, and it goes beyond gear. I explained how progression feels different, how you get different opportunities in a fresh server and how the whole experience differs, plus the fact that one thing is catching up quickly, another is being on par with people since the beginning. They look similar, but they're different. And yes, it was also noted that I accidentally deviated from the original question with my arguments, which was eventually pointed out to me, I recognized how I went a off track, which is why my arguments may seem messy. You can say I wasn't on par with the subject, hah!
  18. Not entirely, but I can understand how you understood it that way. Let me try to clarify a bit more. I state that it is easier to be on par with others if you start at the same time as others do, since the same amount of work is laid out before the both of you rather than starting at a point in time in which others have already done much, whilst you have accomplished nothing since you have just begun. I believe this to be logical. Unfortunately for me, the OP asked a more specific question than the one I gave answer to. I do believe that even the more casuals players will benefit from rolling on fresh rather than on Nost, but this may or not be a bias I have towards the realm I'll play on
  19. But this hypothetical you will still have the chance to be on par with them, no? It will depend solely on you, since they have started at the same time as you did, if they are indeed much more advanced, then they played a lot more, within the same time frame. How people crate a gap between themselves is of no matter to my argument, for I simply stated that it is easier to be on par with people who start at the same time as you do. Whether or not you accomplish it, that is a different matter altogether.

Look, I wanna play ret pally

I'm sure you'll be able to find a guild that will allow you to play Ret, it may not be an easy finding, though.
  21. I might be mistaken, but I'm using the expression "being on par with..." as a synonym for being at the same playing field as others, in broad terms. And whilst assistance from other players is indeed quite useful, the cheer amount of hours required to reach 60 (averaged at 250, I believe), is minus 250 hours of progress you have no done on your character compared to others, who might have triple that played time already invested. We must also consider other things than gear. Your social stance with others, your acquaintances, contacts, missed opportunities (Talisman of Binding Shard ), economical situation, whether or not you were able to take advantage of being ahead in your profession when you first reached 60 in order to turn in an early profit. Many other variables are present on what qualifies as being on par with others. Ah yes, you seem to be correct. I have indeed deviated from the original topic. Well spotted. I spoke in boarder terms than what was asked.
  22. I have no knowledge of this, have you a source you can provide? I'm much interested in learning more.
  23. Read more carefully into my words, I have said more or less the same as you, minus a few details. I never said that the players were to blame, quite the opposite.
  24. I believe you're mistaking my argument of "it will be easier to be on par with everyone else by rolling on fresh" for "it will be easier to gear up". If your wish is to be at the same playing field as everyone else, then fresh is the way to go, if you play on the other servers, you'll be playing catch up. Naturally, you can get help and gear quickly, but that was not what I was talking about in the first place.
