  1. Another doomsday prediction that will be proven false and leave the guy who made it look like an idiot. But that won't stop the next one at 2 months, 3 months, and so on.

    SCAM WARNING! BECAREFUL!

Report these and their accounts will be banned.
  3. From the transfer, you zoinked this item (Dragonskin Cowl) off my Warlock, and replaced it with a "Crimson Felt Hat", which I don't want. Additionally, I had +20 FR enchant on the first cowl, which was not carried over. The new hat has no enchant at all. I'm not going to waste my time with anyone who wants to argue which is "better" or "worse". It's my character. I do however wonder if anyone else also got screwed up on this transfer. After combing through my 5 60s, 3 of which were well geared, I don't see any other errors. I wish the error was somewhere else though, because that cowl, with the correct resist (1 in 5 stat chance after drop chance), is one of the hardest items to obtain off dungeons. I'd rather have to replace a baron cape or HOJ than this.

    Server actually up?

I wouldn't say it's up. I'd say it's "up". I was able to get in and look at one of my characters. Lagg is so bad not much can be done. I could not imagine trying to fight like this. I hope they get new servers out soon. Launching without that fresh one was a giant mistake; which everyone tried to tell them, but they insisted... Now we have everyone dogpiling on here when the new people would have been on the empty one. We'll literally have to wait for the fresh one to come out before they move.
  5. No 1 time zone is going to fit everyone. Stop selfishly asking for it to be your own. Just use a clock mod like everyone else. I always had U S East displaying on my screen, and my guild also used this for its schedules. I struggle to see a problem here. "But it's nighttime in the game world when I get on to play" ... so?
  6. They didn't want to release all the realms together, so now we're stuck until they get more out there. But even with the fresh one; the old ones can't contain smaller population caps. We need MORE REALMS, ones that will take transfers.
  7. Raiding is not leveling. And Broken Tooth isn't worth all the trouble camping it. It was camped 24 7 on Nost. When the spawn timer got close, whole groups of Hunters would show up trying to get it. Usually, it'd end up dead, with no one getting it. Since it can be pulled off or killed from the guy actively taming it; most people are never allowed to actually get it. Players have this childish me or nobody" mentality, which just results in "nobody". In other words, if you go after that cat, yuza sucker. All this trouble for a faster attack speed you don't even need for anything. You could be leveling to 60 instead, or farming money for an epic mount. Or honor in the BGs. Something productive.
  8. It's not wrong nor some joke. By 40+, the BM pet is so OP you barely have to do anything in fights. It can literally solo mobs, but if you don't do anything to help, the mob will not reward XP. You need to auto attack, at the very least. This is to prevent people sitting AFK with the pet on aggressive getting XP for nothing, which you literally could do, if this restriction didn't exist. Typically your strategy is to just hit Scorpid Sting (dot+auto attack), then do nothing else, while your pet eats the mob. When you pull groups is when you need to actually pay attention. But by using a trap or fear, a decent Hunter can easily tackle 3 mobs. 2 aren't even much of a fuss if you simply use mend to keep your pet up, and switch his target to hold aggro.
  9. Well you haven't said which faction yet, but it really doesn't matter on Alliance. You have 2 solid choices, so it's better to just consider whether you'd prefer to be Night Elf the rest of your life, or Dwarf. Play both in the starting area for a while if that's what it takes to decide. Horde has more to consider. Orc is a winner at melee with axes and as BM (pet damage), but both of these become moot at 60 when you focus on ranged and dump BM. They can retain their value in BGs, but have no use in raids. Tauren is a solid BG choice for its defense, and the health can be somewhat helpful to survive boss fights, but Troll is hands down the winner for PVE. It's not only a solid choice for leveling, but nice in raiding too.

    Leveling at Launch

Just do what we did at the original launch, and grind in dungeons if population is a problem. Dungeons are instanced, so there is no competition. The population actually makes it easier to get groups. In the lower levels, farming dungeons is decent XP vs tag warring out in the world. It can also result in you getting good items, such as Cruel Barb, or Stinging Viper. Whenever over population is a problem, just go into dungeons.
  11. If you're still talking about Hunter leveling; it doesn't matter much which race or class you go with. As BM though, I recommend Scorpid. This thing has high armor in the first place, so the +armor talent turns it into a brick wall. This is combined with solid DPS. Its weaknesses are that its slow, lacking any sprint, and doesn't have enough energy to pay for it abilities. BM solves these problems. Get the swiftness to move it along, and slot 2/2 energy to pay for its abilities. The result is an all around killer pet that laughs at mobs. Another weakness though is that it only eats meat. Other pets have easier diets. Boars will eat ANYTHING. Cats can eat fish, which you can promptly fish out of a lake. Wind Serpents eat fish, cheese, or bread (Mage food=bread). Meat is a picky one, requiring you to farm it directly from mobs that drop it, or cook it. Buying food is generally a waste of money, and something you probably don't want to do until you're a 60 who doesn't care anymore about the cost of level 45 vendor trash. Build by level 40: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cV0GzxgRp After this point, ideally you'd go Marks the rest of the way up, unless you really like meleeing.
  12. I prefer Undead or Orc, even though all of their classes are better as something else. I just like the race. The only class we do win at on Horde is Warlock, and it's only by default because Tauren/Troll don't have the option.
  13. BM Hunter is the laziest leveler you can get. You barely have to do anything except feed the pet. You can shoot the lowest level of welfare bullets all the way to 60, assuming you even do that much. You could just melee the mobs. An interesting challenge would be to go 1-60 without ever firing a gun, but as BM, it wouldn't be that difficult. 31 BM->Imp Raptor Strike done. Some players went 1-60 without using any talent points, or while only wearing gray items (no greens or above); now these are hard.

    Druid Leveling

I'd go Feral up to Faerie Fire, then 7r for Furor/Enrage. These talents are much more meaningful than having 3% crit 7 levels earlier. You could get them even sooner, but I like being able to Feral cast Faerie Fire. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0ZxxMs0rzZV0b

    Hunter in raids

The fact is they are not as high in DPS as other classes. It doesn't matter how good you are when the class is subpar. The DPS was sacrificed mainly for longer range, mail armor, higher dodge, and a much better pet than the Warlock could ever dream of getting. Another issue however is armor. For the Hunter's damage to really shine, he needs to shoot at low armor targets, because he is physical. Raid bosses are armored like a concrete wall, which turn even the biggest of arrows into water pellets. Spells ignore armor, and thanks to the curses, the bosses don't even have magic resist.

    Bags for starting

Unless you're paying us up front, it is a hand out. There's nothing other than your word that we'd get any of it back. That is not how loans work.

    Bags for starting

Why are you entitled to a hand out over the thousand other players who are going to start new here? Save up money and buy them like everyone else. When I first started on Nost, I didn't see a 14 slot bag until the 40s, and they were from the quest rewards. I leveled 3 guys at once mind you, which meant 3 bag rows, and 2 mounts. I was broke for a long while after I started. Never asked anyone for a handout. My Hunter didn't even have a mount until 44 I think.

    Patch notes = amazing

Already fixing stuff Nost never could. They actually tried to prohibit and punish players using AOE around walls... rather than just disabling it.
  19. Protected means the owner's faction does not flag PVP, and cannot be attacked unless they attack you first. In these zones, grieving people's quest towns/NPCs/etc was prohibited. This doesn't mean you can't come kill something every now and then; nor will anyone care if you kill a low level idiot that flagged himself attacking you. But if you keep dumping infernos here, or camped something for a while, a GM would come tell you to stop and eventually suspend your account. If you want to farm those elemental whirly swirls in Westfall for instance, and low levels are attacking you... it's not "grieving" to send them to the graveyard. Contested means everyone is flagged PVP, and is targetable. They did not care about grieving in these. You could camp a town or any NPCs all day, until the enemy faction forced you to stop. They expected the faction itself to deal with the problem. Protected zones: Elwynn Forest, Westfall Dun Morogh, Loch Modan Treehugger island and its nearly shore Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest Durotar, Barrens (north) Mulgore, Barrens (south) Barrens is a 2 in 1 because of its size. Non protected zones: Everywhere else in the game.

    Destro AOE

You trying to AOE grind like a Mage? It's not happening as a Warlock, not unless you get a Mage to kite the mobs for you, then just add your own DPS to his. But most Mages do not want a buddy, not when they could just solo AOE and get 100% XP. The main buddy they do look for is a healer. I don't think offering them a stone every pull is going to suffice.

    Hunter pvp

Survival isn't about top DPS at shooting. It's about personal defense and improving your melee, since enemy players will not let you sit back and gracefully pluck a bow at them. Unless it's an enemy Hunter trading shoots at you, they're probably going to close distance to stop you from shooting. But enemy Hunters are usually Marks if they want to trade shots, so if you invest well in your own melee, closing distance vs these can mean an easy win. Look at their weapons, people with 2 1hs stacking AGI enchants usually don't want to melee, and will be worthless at it. People with 2hs are more likely to fight back in melee. Imp Raptor Strike is great with a slow 2h; it's terrible with 1hs.

    Hunter Noob need help

While leveling, just go BM. A good pet with max skills will damn near solo the game for you. There isn't much reason to bother with the other talent trees until 40+, after BM is done. For gear, until you get to 60, pretty much the only thing to care about is agility. Monkey/Falcon stat groups are the best, but many low level classic items have Wolf stats (AGI/SPI), so you may have to settle for it. Once you're 40+, you can equip mail, but mail items usually don't have ideal stats, so you will sacrifice AGI/INT for armor. I'd say this is worth it on PVP, but if you're going PVE, you may as well equip whatever gives you the most DPS output, neglecting defense. If you're looking to rush mail at 40, take a look at this set, which is easy to get made: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?search=Tough+Scorpid For BOEs, many Hunters look for sets like this, which can get monkey/falcon on stats, if you're: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?search=bonelink But the stats for BOEs like these are random, meaning you might not ever be able to find the stats you want.
  23. They only cared if you did it in protected zones. In PVP zones, I've never seen them give a фекал. My guild would have 5 Warlocks go at once to Redridge, and drop these things all over the place. Then we'd camp for 1h to get the CD back, trying to defend the infernos, and drop a bunch more before we left. We've never once been messaged by GMs, not even when guarding the infernos for a full hour, then dropping a second set. But that was on Nost; who knows if things will be different here. I haven't read through the rules they've posted over here.

    Official! (Warning)

Can I come melee with a Nightfall on my Hunter? Time to use that Blood Fury and axe skill. My race doesn't seem to like shooting.
  25. "Calls to arms is a version of LFD. Though you people were against this tool." It's the cross realm and teleporting people should be against.
