"Yolomance" will test your AoE tanking abilities for sure. DM West will test your health pool, DM north will test your hardiness on the last boss. Aim for 5-6 +hit% gear if you can. 1 from bow, 2 from rings, 2 from Lionheart helm all obtainable pre-raid and will help your group greatly with you can effectively and reliably be apart shield bashing cast w/o missing. Your threat will be much higher as well.

A lot of 5 man blues are better than MC raid gear.

Like Storfan explained, certain pulls in a raid you will need to tank. If your raid has 3-prot warriors: Certain bosses have 4 or more adds that need to be tanked, and you may be asked to do so on those bosses. 3 out of 10 bosses in Molten Core. BWL you will not be needed for boss adds, but more so some trash pulls you will be assigned a target, and may be asked to help on trash phase of Nef (last boss) fight. ZG, Tiger boss helps to use a fury in tank gear if kiting one of the 3-adds, he poison cloud stuns the Hunter, taunt it and wait for Hunter to resume. AQ 3 bugs boss, Satura, and some trash your name may be called as well. If this scares you, roll rogue.

Pick up some TPS items. My 5 man set has 107 def, 5/8 T2-set bonus, 7% hit, 19.25% crit.

+15 Agility on your mitigation weapon. Crusader on your TPS weapon. You do not have infinite rage. So Crusader is needed to fuel stronger white hits = more rage = more threat gaining abilities.

Or instead of using R1 multi shot, learn to utilize the 6 second rule. Use your magic based shots at the start including tagging things with a sting, and then auto attack. Never drink, down time saved > time saved using weak multi shot while leveling. In 5 mans, the group being able to focus fire the first mob(s) in a pull > anybodies spec.
