Improved mana burn helps a lot with Moam in AQ20 when your group isn't stacked with hunters and locks.

But will your guild be dedicated to your boomkin?

It is considered a medium tier debuff IIRC therefore it won't override your Sunder, Thunderclap, Demoshout, CoE, CoS, things like that.

Elysium fresh server timeline
Undertanker replied to Gropy's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This thread has been an amusing read. I can't decide which is my favorite, the person who is rerolling fresh whom is already planning on then rerolling fresh again in a year, or the complaints about having to wait to do content. Sounds like you need to ask yourself why your going to a server that you are not satisfied with the content availability. -
You are not going to be AoE grinding on fresh. Very limited areas you can do this and 400 mages wanting to do it...... not gonna happen. Suggestion for mage rolling fresh, have fire blast as your easiest to spam button for mob tagging.

I"m thinking it was the BWL patch.

Allow the PvP token quest giver have a quest reward of reset talents if you were exhalted with all 3 PvP factions. -
Farming for lionheart doesn't mean you have to mine the bar yourself. You can farm elemental earth, essences, felcloth and be "farming for Lionheart". Once you have Lionheart your value then only lies with running around for nodes. Tanks will want Lionheart as well with ZG enchant for TPS set. Engineer while leveling can help when fighting caster mobs to give yourself another interrupt, and like other mentioned, if you are on a pvp server it is nice. Tanks will want the Force Reactive Disk from 300 engineering when they are ready to raid. I'm working on making a second one for myself so I don't have to be as frugal with the procs. As for Blacksmithing making you money, only if you are one of the individual to get a good pattern or two early in the release. The first month, crafters will charge a lot just to make the helm and nightfall. After awhile when most guilds have their own crafters with the recipes, your money making days are limited and cut through for charging to craft the helm.

Right. This is in regards primarily to 5-man blues. Just off the top of my head here, Draconian Deflector got hit the hardest with +15 def down to +10. Force of Will from 10 Def to 7. Many other blues. At the same time, only deathbone chest will have +def on it in the early patches the boots/legs/belt/gloves will all be green pieces of crap that you will bank if you win. The Tier 1 gear doesn't really get hit much with this +Def item squish, and it occurs before BWL. T2 helm should remain untouched, and T2 legs actually get buffed to have Def as they start with no Def at all.

Roll on Nost now or wait for new server
Undertanker replied to AciDTRiP's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
@OP the average time it took players to reach 60 on the current Nost PVP server is 10 days 20 hours or something close to that. (260 hours total) So the 1-2 weeks for 60 is for the no-life try hards only. Expect around 1.5 months (that is playing around 4 hours a day for the average leveler). Only 1/3 of the active population hit 60. Hitting 60 does not = geared out. You will get geared out much faster on Nost PVP compared to Elysium PVP simply due to the fact of supply vs demand on all gear. On Nost - PVP you'll be grouping with people that have some / a lot/ most / all the gear they need from a specific instance/raid more often than somebody that has green gear. Leaving the amount of people needing each item that drops much lower, raising your odds for loot per item dropped substantially. Having ZG out, and BWL allows for more loot per week as well. Instanced Raid Bosses Available per week: 36. (ZGx2, Onxyia x2, MC x1, BWL x1) On Elysium - PVP you'll be grouping with people that have a much more demand for all gear items that drop, and loot competition vs raid item drops per week will leave you at a disadvantage for the first 3-6 months of raiding. Instance Raid Bosses Available per week: 12. (Onxyia x2, MCx1). Make your own decision about where to play. Though this imaginary "catch-up mountain" is nothing more than a slight hill to walk up. An example of how fast you get gear on Nost, look at my alt druid, which I hit 60 on March 15th: Overhealer 19 days later (4/4/2016) I had all items I needed outside of BWL except a neck piece from ZG and shoulders from MC. On the flip-side, with progression raiding on my warrior (a day one toon) I could go months without an upgrade. It's not a matter of "catch-up", its not a matter of economy (since inflation doesn't effect vendor gold sinks, so inflation makes your items sell for more on AH while making vendor items cheaper in return), its a matter of what your personal goals are. Set yourself some goals, see if they are realistic and obtainable, and you should be able to answer your question yourself. -
LF Exploration Leveling Guide 1-4ish!
Undertanker replied to Tubbylul's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Level 4 in an hour is amazing and is why exploration approach is taken on a new server launch. When Nost first launched, with only 2,400 people online that opening night after the servers recovered from a few "hic-ups", it took me around 10 hours to get to level 6 as I was attempting to kill mobs that simply didn't exist. (mind you this was before dynamic respawns). If I could have spent 1 hour getting to level 4 and then just start grinding level 6 mobs just outside the newbie zone, I would have easily gotten ahead of the masses and been better off every day I played. @OP : exploration leveling guide, open (M)ap. Run to areas that are not discovered. Repeat. -
You won't like healing as a pally, and ret/prot is extremely limited in a raid environment and has very specific applications if brought. Druid or Priest for healing. I love healing as a druid when not tanking on my main. I say the difference between druid and priest can be summed up as Druid is proactive healing, Priest is reactive healing. Druids have longer cast times compared to all other classes, priest has some nice fast heals paired with a shield they can put on a target to counter spike damage. Having played both in raid environments as well as mained a mage and rogue back in 2005, healing/tanking are far more involved at all times with tanking being extremely mentally demanding in 20 raids, as 40 mans you have more tanks and less targets usually. 20 mans you'll have 2 tanks and a lot of targets. You can't go wrong with either one, but IMO if you are looking for 24/7 engagement from 5 mans, to 20 mans to 40 mans, tank is the way to go. Off tanking as the 3rd/4th tank in 40 mans can be a bit boring at times, but you should be very busy on trash mobs in BWL and forward which is 85% of raids. Show you are a good player with amazing "situational awareness" and you'll move up through your guild tank rankings. Also if rolling tank, making yourself available to tank not just on raid days will help establish your role as a guild tank.

Alch/Herb: Herbing is annoying to level at the start, so fight through it, especially on a new server roll-out. Fight through it and while you hunt forever you can still grind the mobs lower level than you, get used to this practice (see lack of hit above) it will give you the extra early exp needed so you can complete your quest in the next zone without crying due to "the struggle". Pick up alchemy as well to pair with it. HP potions are easy to make and will save you SOOOOOOO many times from death. Keep about 20 on you and stash the rest in the bank. Make the agility and str potions as well, and fort pots for more stam (it isn't a lot but when paired with well fed buff, you are in good shape) the str and agil pots make up for having gray/green gear. Use these buff potions when you grind in safe zones or away from high traffic areas when in contested zones. You will get pissed off if you pop 4 1-hour potions to get ganked right after. I usually kept 1 stack of mana pots which I would give to the healer if I do an instance, most times they don't have them and it can save a wipe = less down time. Until your guild is ready to raid and you can afford a Force Reactive Disk, stay with these at 60 and farm up as many raid consumables as you can yourself. Stash these on an alt bank.

Many items have more DEF at the 1.4 patch, than they will later on. Some don't have any DEF at all. This is not just limited to Tier gear. Draconic deflector has loads of DEF on it in the early patch, though T2 legs have no DEF on them, so you'll actually use T1 over T2 legs if you get them before the they get updated. Other than that the other Tier 1 for warriors pretty much stays the same. Mages/locks initial T1 is LoL, more so than it already is.

Yeah a feral should have 4 sets a loot with them in raid. Bear tank set, cat dps set, +MP5 set for decursive spamming fights, and a +healing set.

Possible options to match edgemasters handguards
Undertanker replied to wurzlsepp's topic in Warrior
Options to match Edgemasters: Be Human / Be Orc Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight Aged Core Leather Gloves for the Fury warrior who didn't go Human/Orc and takes daggers for little to no loot competition. Death's Sting #DaggerFury Anubisath Warhammer - human prio to get +10, then other races. Mugger's Belt If you got bad luck on Onslaught and you are that epic #DaggerFury :) -
Rollback Lost BoE Blue
Undertanker replied to llamadeath's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah they won't restore anything below epic + quality from raids and in the event of a major server issue. Even then it's not guaranteed. Allowing such request would put so much unneeded work on the admins which their hands are full with server items, bans/appeals, and improvements, as well as their own personal lives. -

Advice to Elysium Devs on removal of gold spammers
Undertanker replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The suggestion of if x people ignore you is bad. People will use this to harass other players to manually mute them. -
It depends on how it is scripted, but yeah it's the idea that is scales. Battleshout however, I do not think it changes.
-
If you are grinding lower level mobs that are low armor and will die fast, go Beserker stance on those mobs. If the mob you are fighting will take a bit longer to kill and does more melee damage to you, then stay in battle stance.
