Need Critique on my DKP System I Created.
Undertanker replied to Tickles's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Stop worrying about how much DKP somebody else has. Elviss already explained to you that the majority of the items will be yours anyways, and for really cheap. When I started raiding with my guild at the time, a pair of T1 shoulders I had to bid 285 DKP. T2 legs? 500 DKP. 2 months later, a new tank comes, no DKP. You know how much he got those items for? 5 DKP each (minimal bid). I used 2 months worth of DKP for 2 items, and he used 1 boss kill worth for the same 2 items. Any time an item drops that you want, even if you do not get it; guess what? That is just one more person that doesn't need it again. You are in a GUILD. An upgrade for 1 is an upgrade for all. If a great DPS trinket drops, I am very happy for the GUILD. Because regardless of who gets the first or second or third, it contributes to the overall GUILD (there's that word again) performance. Now like Elviss mentioned as well, these BiS highly sought after items. The day before the server announcement came, I was one of those SUPER HIGH DKP HOARDERS OMG!!!! I was holding out for Band of Accuria. When it dropped, because it is a GREAT item, I had to bid A LOT. I bid over 3,200 DKP!!! to give you an idea of how much that was to me, I was our guild lifetime leader at 9,100 DKP, and made every raid since the start with the exception of 2 Onxyia kills. Over 1/3 of my entire lifetime DKP for 1 item. It put me close to 0 DKP again. I am now at the back of the line because I got a great item I saved for. At the same time other players were collecting items at FRACTIONS of what I got them for and where decked out in all slots except the FEW BiS pieces that they too will have to save up for. Tl;Dr, BiS item drops should excite you, regardless if you are going to win it. Why? Because somebody is about to drop over 1/2 a years worth of DKP for it and that means you just moved way up the charts. PS: Quit being selfish. An upgrade for one is an upgrade for all. -
New player looking for a class that fits.
Undertanker replied to Rocsi's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I played Rift as well so I know what you are looking for. As a pally healer, you will only go into melee range to put a Seal on the boss which will heal the raid when people hit the boss or give people mana back when people hit the boss. A few fights you might run in for a stun. Other than that, you'll hang out with the ranged, buff and heal people. Pally doesn't have a heal over time and uses small heals that are fast. If you liked bard, you should like pally healing. Though for leveling you will be in melee range and a spec that helps kill things faster. Similar to people leveling the rogue as blade dancer and then go bard at max level. If you want to also cast while leveling, and looking for an alternative to druid, then Dwarf Priest. -

Cool, now just do the "forgot password" to force your email account to receive emails from the elysium domain. Then you should receive your account verification email if you try again. -
When is "not long ago" for making your account? Also note that your forum account and "Play now" account are not the same. Make a new account there and you won't have issues.

That moment you realize Ret Paladins don't have Crusader Strike or Divine Storm
Undertanker replied to Vaulken's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah moonkin can do decent in short fights. Drop off greatly after +30 second fight. They get pretty much a 17.5% damage increase if you got a TF in the raid, since bosses only get at max 70 NR, -25 NR is damn helpful. -
Whats with the griefing posts?
Undertanker replied to thebleach's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I'll comment something very important to the people that are so concerned with grieving other players just starting out: If these "newcomers", "newbies", "retail fanboys", "first-timers", what ever the hell you want to call them, have such a miserable experience early, completely outside of their control because you have nothing better to do at 60, like farm for your raid consumables 80% of people bit ch they don't have time to farm for; you may drive people to quit. Period. While that may get your jollies going for the moment, private servers have a high turnover rate. Fresh blood being implemented into the population is important to prevent endgame becoming a poaching event from other guilds just to clear content. You need these people that you plan on grieving to hell. Take some of this energy and channel it into helping the new comers out a bit. Throw them a bone (or a green weapon in this case). Show them we are happy to have them. Allow them to feel welcomed into the community and they will stay. These people are future recruits for a guild. These people are what will keep your battle ground queues popping on a more frequent basis. These people are going to contribute to the availability of items on the AH, and buy the things you are attempting to sell. Tl:Dr: Don't be an azz hat, and you'll have a better community and ensure the longevity of the server(s). -

Your nost account email address will only be NEEDED for receiving your token. You can create a gmail account, verify the account with the email, and move your Nost account to the new "Play Now" account you made. It doesn't have to be the same email address you used to have on Nost for the transfer to work. -

LF Exploration Leveling Guide 1-4ish!
Undertanker replied to Tubbylul's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Exactly, can then hearth back and then run away from newbie zone and grind level 6-8 mobs in a corner somewhere. This is how you get ahead of the pack and if you can stay ahead, will decrease your leveling time by up to 20-30 hours easy. -
Well over 50% less DPS need to know this is very important, and that your 1.3 daggers should only be pulled out for Val. Using 63% damage reduction from armor for example: What happened before: 2,700 damage taken to 0 armor. I would get hit for 1k damage = 30 rage. What will happen now: I would get hit for 1k damage = 11 rage. 63.33% decrease in rage gains from incoming damage taken. Pretty much what ever your armor is at, is how much less rage you will get. So when you get those wonderful + armor buffs from healers, it will go down to even 68% decrease. Also we will no longer gain rage from dodging/parrying a boss. If a boss only did autos and nothing more and is effected by TF, should have around a 2.88 second delay auto attack. Def stacked and +15 agil tank can get around 32.8% dodge + parry, lets just say 33.33% for ease of conversation. In 1 minute that is 7 attacks you dodge or parry that gave 5 rage each by error. So you are also losing 0.6 rage a second. However we are getting rage now from when a boss dodges or parries an auto attack equal to your average damage so that should help this loss.

Use the reset password function here: https://elysium-project.org/control It should give you a successful email to your domain, which should then white list other emails coming to your domain which would allow you to receive your verification email. -
Verify you can login to: https://elysium-project.org/control Double check your realmlist file, make sure there are no additional spaces before or after.
-
Token cannot be generated usually means wrong password. What happens when you try the email recovery for your other account(s)?
-
Just make sure you can login to here: https://elysium-project.org/control If you can, make sure your realmlist in your wow folder is correct for this project. If it is, wait until release time. Update us if you have any further issues after that we will be happy to try to assist further.

[Reporting Thread] Missing Characters after the Transfer done right from Nost
Undertanker replied to Wraith§Reaver's topic in Help & Support
@chivelip you check your game folder on your computer and in your WTF folder make sure you didn't have a 2nd account by chance that you used which had your main on it? If you did a transfer token with a level 1 that you never logged on with, just created for a name reserve, it may be that account and that unused level 1 may have been removed. -
Yeah if you still have issues editing this file, click and drag it to your desk top, edit and save as needed, and then move it back when done. Solved.

Yeah Bartender 2 doesn't have the exp bar. Bartender .... exp bar.... bar.... bar.... yeah seems legit they would leave that out. I wasn't a fan of xperl at first, but because I use bartender, I learned to like it. You can enable exp bar under your character hp/mana bars. It is really small and when you are 60 either turn if off, or like I do; you can go to your reputation menu and what ever reputation you are grinding click "show as exp bar" and it will show your reputation progress there.
