Is it too late to start on the old PvP Server?
Undertanker replied to Edwin Van Queef's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
^ Fair enough. -
You'll find a home. Just expect to also bring your MP/5 set to each raid. Some fights require a lot of dispelling, and being able to fill this role on those fights will bring you more versatility and free up a healer to continue to heal rather than having to dispel the entire time. You can collect healing gear that otherwise would be disenchanted and bring that with you as well. A couple fights are not very melee friendly and you can spot heal on those fights as well. - this will help justify a raid spot. 5 mans is no problem. Warm body > nobody 400g in consumables is a bit far fetched, but it is expensive.

				Guild Capacity Question
Undertanker replied to Corpsemaker's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
New community "leveling guilds" will start up and have upwards close to the cap as they scout the newbie areas and invite you to guild as soon as you log/make a toon. Not all guilds are raiding guilds. Also the vast majority of the player-base does not participate in the forum community and have not had insight to the existing guild recruitment. They will join one of these "social/leveling" guilds to start and will eventually leave after they find a home once they are higher level. -

Is it too late to start on the old PvP Server?

Bro, it is very easy to get decked out in loot once you are level 60 with more content released and people that have been farming it for months on end, compared to only having Onxyia/MC for months where every person in the raid is going to want every item. As MT I would still go sometimes 1-2 months without seeing even a side-grade item, much less an upgrade. Let's see how the newer people fair: I was level 60 for 3 weeks! and got this gear (without BWL which all tier would have been thrown at me): http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Overhealer We picked up a new tank: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Yjax in 3 weeks 14 epics! While I was there from day one, and sometimes would go 2 months before getting an item. Fresh priest that just hit 60: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Hughue 10 epics in 6 days. Another tank fresh 60: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Laservere 12 epics in 2 weeks. Different guild warrior: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Amputate 6 in 3 weeks. Different guild rogue: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Squatsonly 10 epics last 4 weeks. Different guild Mage: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Kimoe 12 epics last 5 weeks. Different guild Lock: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Goldelock was 60 for 10 days, 5 epics already. This is just one small sample size of MANY MANY MANY examples. No reason why somebody who decides to start on Nost-PVP and commit to it shouldn't be extremely well geared before the AQ gates are opened, as that will take a few months to get done. Plenty of time to level, get a raid spot, have ZG x 2, MC, BWL, Onxyia you can do each week get decked out. When Nost went down, we rerolled K-1 and didn't jump ship to K-2. Why? Because the goal isn't MC/Onxyia, who cared that we were lvl 1 and people had 8/8 T2. What another player/guild had done, has equipped doesn't change what you do in YOUR raid. We rose up and progressed and were in AQ when it launched (they were 85%+ done with war effort when we joined server). TL'DR: Not hypothetical to play "catch-up". Actually pretty easy if you actually logon and play, and participate in your weekly raid resets. Don't setup false expectations. -

Why fresh server should release at the same date
Undertanker replied to Jambi's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Expect at least 50+ Nef kills before the weekly reset. 80+ Rag kills, 100+ Onxyia kills. -
https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showforum=263 Guilds should have their start times and days. US guilds start anywhere from 7:00pm est and some start as late as 10:00pm est. Find what times and dates you like and go for it.

Change Hunter epic bow quest timer
Undertanker replied to Turbz's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
On Nost 1.0 there was a respected (for the most part) Hunter Demon Killing Thread where there was a list of people waiting in line for their kill. Once you got your kill, you responded to the list with your name removed and the last kill time of which demon. If you strayed from this list, attempting to skip the line, you were Kill - on - Sight for the other demons by others. It works, be patient, respect the list and you can get your quest done regardless of in-game time commitments. -
A correct survey would be controlled with an even amount of different demographics. 2,500 old nost layers, (with 1,250 geared and 1,250 not geared players) 2,500 new players, Randomly putting something up on reddit which reddit community was against Nost in general, and being something you can note on multiple times and without a controlled demographic? Yeah I'll take the "strawpoll" with a grain of salt

But that straw post of 13k votes...... The,130k previous users didn't vote, but that is cause they are not playing. Strawpost is life, Strawpost forever. -
No prob. Don't let the toxic loud people cloud your view of people that are willing to help.

How far behind will I be?
Undertanker replied to Bigerma's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No matter how far a server is progressed you can always catch up. We had on PVP server somebody level 7 apply when we had BWL on farm status. Before server closed, he was second best geared fury in our guild. If you keep concerning yourself with catchup catchup catchup, you will not slow down to enjoy your own adventure. The gear will come, even as a casual raider. -

I know what I am about, son. You read two post and got me figured out, eh? That feeling you get when you become retail players flame-thrower target. (Just WoW things...) -

I am not saying don't roll on fresh realm. I am putting out the brush fires people keep starting in the forest. -
You are not factoring in your white hits in your bad example.

Level 20: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#oZeZ0h Level 30: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#oZE0GzbZ0h Level 40: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#oZExGzbzuZ0h Level 51: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#oZExGubcut0h Do as you will with the rest, 9 levels. Can put them in arcane for reduce resist on your sheep's, and work on clear casting until 60, then respec POM pyro for PvP or Arcane/frost or deep frost for PvE.
 -
The mage can level as fire if always with you. Since they will not need the survivability that comes with frost spec, might as well do more damage. Mage solo leveling relies on shatter spec, (+50% chance to crit frozen targets) you will be breaking these freezes with your damage, gimping the mages damage. So they can just go fire to avoid that. The mage should put first few points in frost tree to lower resistance (increase hit with frost and fire), then go up the fire tree.

Not a very compelling argument? I break down per slot of which class gets prior on what and why. You respond, point a to point b BS with no reasoning. OP had a question, and I answered it with facts. To your next question which you then bring up about feral, same thing applies: If an item is BiS for somebody vs just a hold over item that will soon get replaced by current or soon to be released gear, you give it to whom it is BiS for. Don't waste your loot drops, and you can gear your entire guild from MC to AQ ready in less than 3 months regardless of bad RNG stretches.

				<Iron Edge> [EU] - BWL 8/8, MC 10/10, Ony 1/1 - Horde, PvP
Undertanker replied to Shayss's topic in Guild Recruitment
....You were second on the list and a post less than an hour before your "bump". Reel it in a bit. -
No prob. The mage spec will actually be the one that changes, they can level as fire since you have frost shock when needed.

Gun skill is of limited use at 60. AQ gun is not as good as xbow from Chromag, and Naxx drops xbows as well.
