    Armaments of War quest

    I talked to a gm, as well as having screenshots of the logs, proving it is allowed to complete the quest. If I, or any of guildies get banned for it, I will use the screenshots as evidence. I was very cautious just like you, but from what the GM told me, it is allowed.
  3. So it has to be on a % base, not raw mana? In a raid setting I may have ZG buff, Kings, AI, Blasted Lands Int buff, etc. but may not have all of them at the same time, so my total mana % will be different. This is a nice solution and I will use it, but was wondering if there was just a raw mana number I could put in. Anyways, thank you so much for the help and keep being awesome!
  4. I have the addon working for Mind flay, so that it won't clip. I was wondering if it was possible to make it so I'll cast rank 6 Mind Flay when I have mana, and if I don't have the mana for rank 6, I will cast rank 1. Is that possible?

    NPCs you can Mind Control for Raid Buffs

    Mana burn has always been weird to me. It is a Discipline spell, but deals shadow damage. It (according to vanilla forums) benefits from Vampiric Embrace, however doesn't scale with spell power (tooltip says 0.5 shadow damage for every 1 mana point burned). But, can it be resisted/partial resisted by shadow resist? I've never gotten bogged down in the entire resist discussion because it seems very confusing, but I'm curious about this.

    PvE Shadow Priest Basics

    Jesus Christ, people please do not listen to killerduki. He spreads misinformation and lies. In a short fight where you don't run out of mana, intellect does NOT matter. It's just fucking wasted stats that you don't need, so stack SP. On long fights, sure, stack mp/5 and int, but not fights that are 30 seconds long where you don't even go below 25% mana. Also, about the original post, it says to dot, flay, THEN trinket? On nost, the trinket proc only affects dots when they are applied, so pop the trinket right before dotting a target. Other than that, the BiS list for 1.8 is the exact same as mine and everything else looks great!

    I did the first time I posted. You talk about keeping up shadow weaving, but not using mindflay so as to not take up a debuff slot. Are you intending to use 3 rank 1 swp, max rank swp, then mb and use the mb on cd to keep weaving up? On top of that spamming smite? It's just gimping your dps so much, gimping any chance you had at being a healer, and will cause you to drop the shadow debuff so much. But whatever man, gl with your flawed spec

  19. If you have t2 available no point in even thinking about this spec, just go shadow. And I am talking about this. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=11904 also http://wow.gamepedia.com/Spirit_of_Aquementas says it changes in 1.3 (dire maul). I can't find the source atm (typing this fast) but the item removes 25 mana from each spell cast. SW:P is a 22 mana cost spell at rank 1, so 22-25= -3. It can't give you mana, so it literally costs 0 mana.

    Some spriests go 3/5 or 4/5 shadow weaving, adding to the "special snowflake" thing Shino is trying to avoid. I mean, there can't be that many debuffs that can be refreshed in vanilla, right? I'll look into making a list of all the debuffs that can be refreshed. I really hope it will be short.
  21. I would just use r1 SW:P for multiple reasons. 1. 22 mana, less than rank 1 mindflay. 2. With the OH from the Un'Goro questline, it was actually 0 cost (OH took 25 mana off all casts). 3. Instant cast, could use it while moving. 4. Instantly taken off by higher tier debuffs (iirc even deep wounds took rank 1 SW:P off).

    yeah it refreshes after it runs out, but I was looking for something like it says 15 seconds when I apply a shadow spell, then everytime I cast it updates to 15s again. I'll use your solution atm, just showing if the buff is up or not. Hope you find a fix to the problem though, I believe in you! Thanks for the help

    Oops I thought I replied to this threat but I guess it didn't. Keeps happening, weird. Anyways, right after I posted that message I found a small issue haha. The Shadow Weaving debuff is a stackable buff that is constantly being reapplied. I made a poweraura to track this, so if I am moving or regenning mana I can know when it's about to fall off. The timer starts correctly, however it doesn't refresh (to 15s) everytime the debuff is reapplied (when I SW:P, mind flay, or mind blast). Is there anyway to fix this?
