Faith

I started playing vanilla in 2004. I rolled a hunter named Shirl. I leveled to 10 got my pet and ran off to Darkshore. After a while someone whispered rumors to me of another land. Full of humans and dwarves. I had to ask around but finally someone said you take a boat to an island and run through the wetlands. I took this advice and began my long trek into the unknown. I really had no idea where I was going. Crocodiles attacked me and I barely survived. Spiders lept from seemingly no where to inflict me with poisons. I cursed them and ran on! My pet sacrificing his life to keep me alive. Finally I entered the base of a mountain following a winding path upwards. I wasn't through the woods yet. Orcs came at me! Again my pet saved me. (giving up his life again!) I stumbled out of the tunnels into a new area lush with life. Green grass met me and.. what.. what is that! I see a dwarf! I waved at him and he kept about his business. I wandered around and saw.. what is that.. a gnome? It was a gnome mage in a bright blue robe. She laughed at me and waved. I asked for directions. "How can I find this.. this.. IronForge!" She directed me up a hill where I entered another tunnel through the mountains which opened in a small flat clearing.. then back into a tunnel and I saw another gnome running past with his short legs and he yelled "CHOO CHOO CHUGGA CHUGGA CHOO CHOO!". I laughed and felt like I was almost there! I must be coming close to this fabled IronForge! The tunnel open up and snow was falling on my head! Snow!? <gasp!> I must be close now. Winding down the path curving this way and that with wolves and white leopards off the trail I found a group of Dwarves running up a path. I followed them. The path led upwards towards the mountain and before me rose a massive keep. A huge statue at its entrance. Finally I have arrived, I thought. I walked past the statue to the right and entered IronForge! Immediately I saw people everywhere. Dwarves, humans, gnomes and even elves!!! I was astounded. It seemed massive. I said to myself.. Shirl. You made it. (I got up out of my computer chair thrust my arms into the air in victory! Sipped my coca cola and sat back down) /dance My night elf danced .. my pet smiled. Time for the next journey to being. ~ Faith ~

I don't get access denied. My client actually says . handshaking.. connecting.. success! then immediate.. "Diconnected from server" I tried several times throughout the day always the same response. Server shows "Nostalrius PTR"

Looking forward to Vanilla again!!
