actually it's my formula for video games.. Amount of Effort Required Satisfaction = difficulty+time; if it took me 4 years to get my degree and it was fairly hard my level of satisfaction on a scale of 1 to 10 could be something like 5. If it took me 10 years and I had to study super hard then.. the amount of satisfaction I feel from getting my degree would probably be like a 10. Same goes for video games.

I actually put it down just before they showed up.. as the lack of variety in gear and the grindy repetitive end game was a bit lack luster. I had a 53 Sorcerer at the time. I was in the guild Storm Lords. I still log once in a while just to ride around in the game it such a nice looking game. Just beautiful.. and that is an image i just pulled off my twitter so not even the full size pic

I think you and I have a very similar goal when playing MMO's. I like the worlds the adventure.. Black Desert was a hard game for me to put down just because the world was so damned gorgeous!!!

Yes this.. blacklists were real. If you were a jerk or a ninja looter .. there were consequences. Good skilled players became known.. almost famous. You have to remember Grim. That rogue was awesome! I remember tales of his exploits. I got a name for myself on Doomhammer as being the priest that didn't OOM. That alone got me into a lot of raids. My hunter Shirl could unlock UBRS and that was had me on a lot of people's friends lists. Those types of things are awesome!

Perfect. +2.45 Also.. it's about the community.. making friends and helping each other. Running UBRS over and over again for Dal Rend's MH and OH for my rogue was some of the most fun I've ever hand in any MMO. MY fav instance. Pulling the boss out with my hunter and kiting him to the Puppy and back. Trying to do Leeroy and kill whelps for Devout shoulders! So many good memories and that is just one instance in Vanilla WOW! Solo run in LBRS to get my bite rank for off a worg was so much fun also. You are tip toe'ing through groups of mobs.. if you aggro any group you have to run and feign death and hope nothing glitches or they resist it (which I don't think they can).. but there were times if you did FD that you would still die That whole journey to 60 was the best. Getting gank'd (don't make me get my main!) Gank'ing others.. I always kept a black list.. if anyone gank'd me I wrote there name down. If I ever saw them again and the opportunity arose I would always try to settle the score ~ Faith ~

Off of my lame youtube site. This song always got my juices flowing and it was for EverQuest Next. Which I was sad to never come to life. I played through all closed beta's and alpha's of Landmark and eventually quit because I really wanted more powerful tools and the loss of StoryBricks was a big factor too. I was really looking forward to a more Advanced AI in a MMO. Nevertheless crank this song up and toss on some Vanilla footage.... always gets the chills going.. OR JUST WATCH This video.. it got me so excited for Landmark but that's mostly because I love 3D content creation and do modeling and animation when I can motivate myself to do so. ~ Faith ~

Yap. When that pc died I took it out slapped it in my new pc.. pulled the files off the old drive put them on the new drive. When the new PC died I did this again. I even bought a hard drive enclosure and just tossed my original drive from the pc that run wow vanilla in 2004 into that enclosure. I can just plug it any pc via a usb port and access it. SO i have the pics in 2 locations currently. I may zip them up a few times and just toss them on 1 drive i have some much storage there as I do a lot of things with Microsoft. So I have extra room.

Yah it sucks if you lose. them. I was at pro level in UT99 player and i still have a ton of those Screen shots but maybe only 1/2 of all of them. I lost a lot of them and had amazing demo vids recorded but back then getting the Engine to replay those demo files meant you had to have the exact same addons installed or files. Everything had to match. Was a real pain. ~ Faith ~

Well they could (because Nostalrius helped them get past any of their *oh we don't have assets we can't do this blah blah blah * hurdles) restore Vanilla but it would require a team and some dedication to it. I don't think they will ever do that. I think we'll have to wait around 3 years before any real movement could occur. By that I mean .. 1) Retail is dying so they decide to invest in legacy servers (which they won't do correctly anyway) 2) They decide to start development on a new MMO (Something they should have done a long time ago). 3) The company gets bomb'd by disgruntled Vanilla fans and is no more!! /kidding

Actually the Elysium server is in the location the Nos server was. Blizzard would have to take them to court. I don't think this will ever happen. The фекал storm it would cause could villainess blizzard more than the first shutdown did.
