Vanilla addons repository (Last updated: 9/23) Source: http://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=15342 These addons are verified by various forum members and were posted by a GM, therefore should be good to use. I don't want to raise suspicions but I would like to warn new players to watch out when downloading and using addons, there were few cases of "unwanted" activities due to addons, so to speak. Any moderator should feel free to copy this post over to OP's post and delete mine. Copied over from Nostalrius' forums. Original post belongs to Radius.

http://i.imgur.com/jxtOQlu.jpg Check out this graph and see the amount of players that are close to level 60. 100% there'll be newly formed guilds after the relaunch. There are also some guilds that lost players and they'll want to refill those spots. Also, before the shut down there were around 10 guilds that actively were recruiting players for their MC farm raids and BWL progression. There were also few guilds that were fresh and starting MC progression. If you're a good player you will get recruited. Just get good part of your pre-raid bis items and you're good to go. Getting into a 'geared' guild is also a good thing because that way you'll get geared faster due to the lower competition on items. That's how things are on Horde side of the PvP realm in my opinion. I have really no idea how could you worry about such a thing.

Starting fresh and making gold!cryofsorrow replied to Aekae's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions +++ Ican, herbalism is a good choice and it's really profitable but you will need 100% mount to make it even better. Don't mind what other people say that herb nodes are camped 24/7, most of these are lazy people. 30-45 minutes of doing circles in the proper zones yields few stacks of herbs that sells for good coin or you can make good batch of potions out of them. Obviously, some times you'll get bad luck with herbing but there's always something to get while strolling around. If you're rolling on the PvP realms, be cautious - there are those guys that I call the farm police, they go in groups of 3+ and they're bad mofos. Don't try to farm Black Lotus by the way, it just boils down to 'being in the right place in the right time' thing. Or, you can check the AH prices of some of the more expensive materials if you fancy farming mobs. And get Gatherer addon for herbalism.

Kallocain by Karin Boye. Fictional novel about dystopian society a la "1984". It's well-written for the most part but I expected more having read 1984 and Brave New World before this one. @Zappa, so, in order to counter nazi propaganda you propose to do exactly what the nazi did. Nice one. Good thing the book is being released to the public now albeit with some, khm-khm, annotations. Everyone should be able to read whatever the вау they want. Be it Mein Kampf, LIttle Red Book, The Green Book or some weird фекал like Ars Goetia. That's how you get informed about stuff. If someone gets obsessed and fanatical about it just by reading it, well... I guess it's a problem that has been buried inside them and it was bound to unravel soon or later. Btw, Conan was 100% trolling and we all took the bait.

So let me see if I got this right.cryofsorrow replied to Darion Mograine's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Just like Ellipsea said, you gotta sit tight for the moment. Also, registration will be done through https://elysium-project.org/ which ironically enough is down for maintenance at the moment. I'm sure the registration form will be available few days before the release so you won't have to worry about it at launch day.

So let me see if I got this right.cryofsorrow replied to Darion Mograine's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions 1. Yes. Any 1.12.1 client would work, most of the players are using this one: http://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2803 2. Yes. The old PvP and PvE realms will be available plus a fresh new PvP realm called Elysium. 3. That's a good guess but there's still no information given by the administration about release date. Release order will be like this: old PvP, fresh PvP, old PvE in 2-4 week intervals. Check out the announcement section of the forum along with this thread https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=22883 , that's where all the informataion you need is.

Transfering level 60 charscryofsorrow replied to Rivareyn's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Announcements on the forums are the same as the news posted on the main page which is down at the moment. https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=22768#entry239844 "PvP, PvE & fresh start You will be able to choose which realm (in case of multiple realms) that you will be able to transfer your character to and resume playing as if Nostalrius never left. You will not be able to transfer from PvP to PvE, and so Elysium characters will only be able to join a PvP realm and Nostalrius PvE characters will only join a PvE realm. Additionally, we wish to assure you that all personal information linked to accounts will be protected at all costs. Therefore, a very secure process will be implement to transfer your character data from Nostalrius to the new realms hosted by Elysium." That's all there is about transfers. I gather from this announcement that there's a possibility of two old PvP realms? May be (hopefully) I am wrong about that. We'll find out soon enough though. Also, I interpret OP's question as if transfers of characters from servers other than Nostalrius or Elysium will be possible to which the answer is "No".

Launching the same client, multiple times...cryofsorrow replied to Gehere's topic in Help & Support Have you tried using Sandboxie? I used that program long ago to open two instances of a game that couldn't do so by on it's own or didn't have a loader tool. Just remember that .wtf file configs, key bindings, macros, etc. configured in the second window is saved in Sandboxie's folder and you might want to transfer them over to your real folder after that. IIRC it can run only one additional instance.

Yeah, I would have more luck talking to a brick wall. Bye now, have fun in your delusions.

Duki, stop cherry picking things you find in random pages. Most of the sources you've provided are dating after TBC closed beta and as little as 10 days before 2.0.1 patch release. Also, we're playing 1.12.1 patch that has been released 26 September 2006. Who cares what little changes Blizzard made after that for the TBC transitioning. Your sources are outdating the patch we're playing so they're not reliable at all.

Stress Test #1 Over! Reflections & What's Nextcryofsorrow replied to Shenna's topic in Official Information It's just the next, hopefully last, stress test that'll take place this sunday, the 27th. After that we'll probably get some release date info. @Ghazkhul, I doubt many users of Nostalrius, or of any private server for that matter, have the illusion of Elysium being safe haven from Blizzard's reach. No one really knows the reasons (pretty sure there are things that aren't known to the public) why only Nostalrius cave in and shut down, nor any one knows what tomorrow brings. Your statements about other private servers being on the 'down-low' and that Blizzard "must vigorously defend their IP" are kinda contradictious, don't you think? Warmane (ex-Molten) being unpopular... Really? I would like to insert here that Feenix (Rebirth and few others as well) is hosted by the same company as Nostalrius for at least two years now and they were the go-to vanilla WoW server before Nostalrius. Anyway, it's pointless to discuss this subject as no one really knows what will follow.

Please breakdown "Rolling Ignites"cryofsorrow replied to meddlingmage's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions 10/10 explanation, Duki. Here are some readings about Ignite: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Ignite_(old) (make sure you copy the "_(old)" part too, for some reason it's not automatically added to the hyperlink) http://www.wow-one.com/forum/topic/88471-how-does-ignite-actually-work/

Breakdowns from a Nost Vetcryofsorrow replied to Destron's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Allow me to derail the thread a bit. Why wouldn't you want SW:Pain up? It's one of the strongest ticking DoTs in the game.

Breakdowns from a Nost Vetcryofsorrow replied to Destron's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Best tank: Warrior. You'll probably see a Druid tank here and there, but they lack good itemisation and defensive cooldowns to match warriors. Huge HP pools though, great Hateful Strike soakers. Best DPS: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Warlock. Hunters pull out somewhat good DPS untill AQ patch when the rest of the classes get mad gear. Some guilds bring a Shadow Priest after 16 debuff slots patch comes up, mostly if the guild is stacking warlocks (4+). Best healer: Arguably Priest is the best healer in PvE followed by the paladins. I guess you can say both classes are equal in PvE. Paladin is the best PvP healer. Shamans are great raid-wide healers with Chain Heal. Druid healers tend to get the least love but they do shine on some fights and bring good utility.

Get into the stress test!cryofsorrow replied to Docholy's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Bare in mind this is the old hardware we're testing now, it's going to be used for the PvE realm that presumably will have the lowest population out of the three realms. Next week we'll be testing the hardware that'll be used for both PvP realms.
