Wait, what? Elysium is starting on the Dire Maul patch (1.3)?? Where did you find this? I was under the assumption it's the same timeline as Nost PvE & PvP.

Does this mean it will be following the same timeline for the PvP items too? I.E. Upgrading the Epic set at Patch 1.7 & not having to rebuy/enchant the gear, it will just be automatically updated?

Hey everyone, I read Nano's post - https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=24677 - about updating the PvP set patch. What I gathered is that you're planning on updating the Blue set off the bat at server launch and upgrading the epic set come Patch 1.11 - does this include R14 weapons as well? I believe this decision will create more problems than solutions. The vast majority of this gear was extremely poorly balanced and had pretty terrible stats for most classes until Patch 1.11 in retail Vanilla. If as a team you decide to go through with your decision to not update these items until 1.11 it's going to effectively ruin serious PvP for the majority of your hardcore player base - most of these epic sets will be worse off than a majority of gear acquired for pre-raid BiS and in Molten Core/Onyxia. The only classes that will bother ranking past 10, or 11 for the Mount, will be Rogue and Warrior as the weapons are still relatively decent for them. These people will have a harder time actually ranking to 14 as well due to the fact that the majority of the player base that is ranking will not need to play nearly as much as they do due to the fact that ranking only starts taking significantly more time past rank 10. Nostalrius did the math behind these changes and came to the conclusion that these upgrades would not effect PvE to the point of it being an issue with current released content - MC, BWL, Ony and ZG. I'm sure you've seen this thread already but here it is incase you haven't - http://forum.nostalr...p?f=2&t=4#p1425 A lot of this gear is still replaced for PvE come BWL & AQ40 and most classes only wear 1 or 2 pieces of these sets for PvE in the first place, waiting till patch 1.11 to upgrade this gear will make it completely obsolete except for a couple pieces here and there I.E. Rank 12 Hunter Gloves which remain BiS for the entirety of Vanilla. Another point to this - even casters who did achieve Rank 13/14, still only use the Blue PvP Set for the 2 piece Set bonus for the 23 increased damage to Spells & Healing. Sorry for the long post but this is something I feel strongly about. I completely get where you're coming from to maintain a 100% Blizzlike experience, but Nostalrius in it's hay day strove to do the same, but did change this part of Vanilla as it's something Blizzard completely dropped the ball on back then (proper stats, etc) and will completely negate all of the hard work these players want to/will put in to attaining these ranks. They made a huge mistake and Nostalrius fixed that mistake by updating the sets earlier - why make the same mistake again? I will be playing a Warlock on the Fresh Start and was planning to Rank to 13 prior to me learning about this information, and if it stays this way, I won't rank past 10 as it's not worth the time just for the title. I understand that part of Ranking to 14 is for the bragging rights and the title but the other half of it is attaining those few BiS pieces that will last you until BWL/AQ which is quite a long period of time from server release. Update - We're nearly full for our Core raiding team at this point besides 1 Resto Druid, a Resto Shaman and a Mage. Still recruiting a few people for Sub spots as well as people for PvP/ranking - at this point we're going to have nearly 2 full Guild premade teams for people ranking to 13/14.

Updated yet again. At this point we have a few spots open for strong Resto Shamans, and one Core spot open for a few other classes. Could use a few more Subs as well - we have a pretty serious PvP team going already with about 8-9 people planning on Ranking to 13/14 so if you can only raid 1-2 nights a week possibly due to scheduling but want a spot on a Premade team to rank, a Sub spot could be good for you.

Class needs updated again in the main post. Shadow Priest filled, Fury Warriors filled minus one Sub spot. Still looking for one Warrior Off Tank & one Feral Druid Off Tank, as well as strong Resto Druids & Resto Shamans. Couple Mage/Rogue spots still open as well! Cheers!

Just an update. Still need a decent amount of Resto Druids & Resto Shamans. Every class is still open to a small extent, we actually really need Fury Warriors which is surprising as well as a 2 Warrior Off-Tanks and a Feral Druid Off-Tank. Technically they are. Fear Ward is nice to have so your tanks don't have to stance dance during encounters with Fear mechanics, but Humans will outscale Dwarves with the 5% Spirit racial.

I don't think I saw it in your post, I know you guys were on the original Nost PvP - are you going back there or are you planning for fresh start?
