In anticipation of the new server, I'm compiling a master list FOR THE ALLIANCE! guilds on the upcoming, fresh-start PVP realm. I kept seeing Horde guild recruitment posts on /r/ElysiumProject, and here on the forums, which inspired me to create a place to make it easier for Alliance players to find their new homes. There are "only" 9k online out of a 12k cap becasue there are 3k people AFK at the character select screen. The queues have been horrible since launch, you probably got lucky logging in after a reset and avoided the queue. Average queue time is probably 8-10k, even as a NA West Coast player I have to log in about 4 hours before I actually play.. EU have it much worse and often wait upwards of 8 hours.

What's the raid schedule? I'm struggling to find a late night (8pm+ PST) raid guild myself, even after compiling the master list.

You should farm mostly late game dungeon blues combined with the PvP offpieces from WSG/AB/AV prior to obtaining the rank gear in order to stay competitive, as opposed to going straight into PvP with greens and getting dominated until you're R10 or so. Pre-Raid BIS is a good start, but keep in mind there may be other, more "PvP oriented" blues that include Stamina (which is valuable in PvP) as opposed to other stats. I would skim through the Mage Pre-Raid BIS lists that include secondary options and compare stats to see which would be more valuable in PvP. Some actual Pre-Raid "BIS" (BEST in slot) pieces may be worse than the secondary options due to sacrificing Stamina for maximizing DPS.

My fondest memory of retail vanilla was probably during the original AV release... I was an Undead Rogue back then (who wasn't?), and would run to Alterac Mountains where you had to queue by entering the portal since there weren't any Battlemasters.. I would stealth onto a fence at the Alliance area, and use a Gnomish Mind Control Cap to MC an NPC. I don't recall his name, but he wasn't any ordinary NPC... No, this was the beefiest Night Elf in all of Vanilla. He was a 60 elite with Fist Weapons (I believe) that had Cleave, and absolutely shredded Allies for 3-4k damage per swing, which pretty much 1 shot anyone at the time. Basically I would sit on the fence, and AOE cleave hordes of Alliance for hours upon end.. Good times.
