Bump, still actively recruiting a few core spots.

Gnome is really the only strong alliance mage race. Both PvP and PvE. Human is good for PvE somewhat because of the rep bonus for grinding reputation, but that's about it. Undead is superior in PvP to Troll because of Will of the Forsaken, and Troll is superior in PvE because of Berzerking. Getting into raiding, usually alliance mages are able to pull more DPS than horde mages due to Paladin Salvation buff, but it's more a preference.

You spec relatively deep into Arcane as the Arcane/frost build. But Most high end raid guilds have one deep frost mage that keeps the winters chill debuff on the boss, making Frost Bolt far superior than arcane if just for the WC debuff. But Frost in general for MC and BWL is the better damage spec over arcane, and obviously fire. Once you get to AQ however, all mages go Fire, and you just spam fire spec frostbolts in MC and BWL.

With the upcoming new "Fresh" server, will honor points be in the game from the start?
Patchi replied to Malagus's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
There hasn't been anything said officially, but Blizzard original vanilla servers as well as Nost original PvP server delayed the honor system to give people time to focus on leveling. I would imagine this will be the case with Elysium. -
Nost/Elysium Weekly Reset Time
Patchi replied to Undertanker's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I missed this while browsing around looking for this answer. This is going to come up as a huge concern for most NA raiding guilds, so it would be great if we can get an answer on this. The Nost reset time they moved to was around 3am EST which is I think 9CET. That time seemed to work best for all, because it was just before the oceanic, and after the US guilds finished. Hopefully this question gets answered soon, so the NA guilds can plan around this if necessary. -
I've heard conflicting reports of the server reset time. On Nostalrius, it was around 3am EST on Wednesday, while the Elysium project is currently resetting at 9pm EST on Tuesday. I'd like some clarification on what the project is expecting to do going forward with the reset time, as the current Elysium reset times conflict with my guilds, and I'm sure other guilds, raid times. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. Slayde

Yeah, I just haven't found any information that specifies what they are planning to do, so hoping to get some clarification so I can adjust our raid times if we need to lol.
-
I would imagine they would have something in place for this, similar to the account recovery.

Check your Data folder, and see if the MPQ files are there, if they are not, you may need to try to redownload the zip file again, or find another source to download it from.

Even Nostalrius had a rough launch, but it smoothed itself out as players gaped in level, and spread around the different zones. It will be no different here, and that's how Vanilla wow works.

Raid spots we're looking for primarily - 2-3 Warlocks 1-2 Mages 1-2 Rogues 2 Holy Paladins 1-2 Priests. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
-
Yeah, I think the only two on the officer list that are questionable are Nicky and Grayclaw. But hopefully they will be around in at least a social aspect. Still recruiting though!

Still actively recruiting most spots. Check us out!

Loot council as a basic principal, is a group of people usually 5 to make an uneven vote, decide who gets loot based on many factors. Most of these factors include performance, overall upgrade, raid viable upgrade, last time looted, as well as attendance and time in grade(time as a raider). Our loot council has always been and will continue to be fair, balanced and have no steak in gearing people other than those items. If a person on loot council is putting on for an item, they are replaced for that loot decision by another officer, or person deemed so at the start of each raid week. In most opinions, Loot council, if done right is the most raid friendly form of loot distribution, as it gears a raid and rewards people for their hard work and dedication, rather than just who has the most saved up points. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, or send me a message! Thanks, Slayde
