@Josipbroz 29 days ago, you made a reddit post where we could have asked any question, and the most popular ones would have assembled together in a post with their respective answers from the staff. https://www.reddit.com/r/ElysiumProject/comments/6vzz2l/questions_for_the_team/ Since I have never heard about it anymore, I assume the post you mentioned was never made in the end. Do you have any informations on this? I would love to see the replies to most of those questions.

Speeding up the timeline for Elysium
Keala replied to pigvomit's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Just because you don't like the idea, it doesn't mean it's actually unhealthy for the Elysium realm. Many players have suggested this and it is indeed an option that needs to be considered more. -
It's nice to see comments like this one every now and then. No matter how right would be to make Anathema wait for Elysium to catch up in order to fix the mistakes of the past, it's simply way too much time to wait. I feel like most payers who think that way don't really realize what it means to wait for that long, they'll simply end up quitting cause waiting over 1 year while having no new content to play gets boring really fast, especially when the server is gonna be even more empty after seeing the first Kel'Thuzad kills. Indeed, a compromise must be made in order to make things acceptable for everyone. You suggested letting players be already at level 58 when they create their characters, but why not simply offer them a transfer option at that point? It seems much easier to me, but it might just my opinion.

I am confused. They literally announced TBC some time ago? Either way, if you are looking to play on a server that will eventually progress into TBC, you should play on Anathema. Feel free to check the announcements sections (Legacy Crusade thread).

Open Elysium -> Anathema Transfers
Keala replied to Demonia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Either way, let's get back on topic. The thread itself is not about donations, it''s about finding a solution to the current issues (and if the solution appears to be exactly donations, it should be said by the staff itself. Until then, it's just a different story). Just because a random thinks we're demanding like kids and trying to voice our opinions doesn't help at all, it doesn't mean we're not allowed to express our thoughts and suggest something. It's pretty clear there will never be room of discussion with somebody that has such reasoning. It's a waste of time even replying. Back on topic, it would be nice to hear anything about this subject from the staff itself. The thread hasn't been closed yet like many others which is a good sign. Any chance we could see this happen some time after Naxxramas has been cleared on Anathema? -
Open Darrowshire faction transfers from Alliance to Horde
Keala replied to Broshen's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Without any kind of help from the staff, there's no way to increase population on Darrowshire horde side. To be fair, it's the same for alliance side and even on Anathema. New players simply are not attracted by low populated realms (almost everyone, there are always exceptions). Saying that people need to roll horde side in order to increase the population on horde side doesn't bring anything to the table. Nothing will hapen by itself that will fix these issues. -
I know there is no point levelling on Anathema (right now). Which is why we're trying to suggest something in order to help both realms. Elysium isn't in a state where you can just ignore the problem anymore, something needs to happen and the transfer is the simplest solution to the problem, while also helping the situation on Anathema. If the population were to raise at least some more, let's say it reaches 2500-3000 at peak times, it would convince some players to actually play there. Meanwhile, if the population on Elysium decreases by 1000-1500, it would make the game much more playable, since it looks like the lags/crashes start to happen after the number of players online reaches a certain amount.

Open Elysium -> Anathema Transfers
Keala replied to Demonia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Agreed. Are they forcing TBC though? They will simply copy your character there and make you choose where do you want to play. At this point everyone knows this, there were literally no reasons to launch Zeth'Kur, it's obvious that a lot of people only play at the start because of the fresh hype, only to leave after some time. Well, I don't really have anything against chinese players in specific, but I do agree that the way they play the game makes it less fun, since it's not a game to them but a job where you need to make money (not all of them are like this, but still...). I don't know about VPN blocking them, but at the very least, if you're allowing them to play here, you should be more strict and watchful on goldselling. It almost looks like they're allowed to do as they please considering the amount of spam one gets when playing. Either way, I personally don't dislike the option to merge all of the 3 servers together (I don't know about Darrowshire though, it's a different story there). It was a mistake to split the community in the first place by releasing Elysium, considering the fresh hype started only because of the Nostalrius relaunch. It's pretty weird that until Nost shutdown there were no requests for a fresh server, and instead the server only kept growing, which meant new players were still attracted to the realm, no matter how many t2 pieces the others had, they did not care at all about it. But when we got Anathema back, suddenly everyone wanted a fresh start. The reasoning about having already geared players was a mere excuse, they took advantage of it to get a new realm cause everyone wants to be a special snowflake. I really doubt they will merge the realms before Elysium reaches Naxxramas at this point, even though I would like to see that happen. Opening transfers from Elysium -> Anathema/Darrowshire isn't really the same as merging them all, but at least it does address to the current issues on all realms. Lags/crashes on Elysium, low pop on Anathema. Something needs to be done. -
And another one of these topics. Nothing against you in particular, it just proves that the situation is growing worse every day. Feel free to check other topics where I gave my opinion about how to attempt fixing this problem (transfers from Elysium -> Anathema/Darrowshire). https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/53882-really-nice-up-time/ https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/52950-open-elysium-anathema-transfers/ https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/53948-lags-in-battlegrounds/ https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/53260-lag-this-past-week-and-half-on-elysium/ https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/53416-can-the-server-stay-up-for-more-than-5-fucking-minutes-someday/ https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/53306-queue-at-9k/

I understand that playing on a realm where crashes are so common and lag is heavy doesn't look appealing, but you all should know it's perfectly normal exactly because the realm is overcrowded. What I also know is that it's unfair to just tell those people who don't enjoy the current situation to simply re-roll on Anathema or Darrowshire. Most people don't want to lose their progress, and starting all over again is indeed a pain, especially when you're leaving friends or your guild behind. For this very reason, I have been suggesting for a while now to open transfers from Elysium to Anathema and/or Darrowshire. It's true that the population is low, but transferring here would mean you'd be increasing the overall population, you just need enough players to understand this and let them transfer. Not to mention that there are already players asking for this kind of transfer, for various reasons (lag/crashes, more content available, quicker TBC).
-
Deserters? I currently play actively on Anathema and will keep on doing so until we get TBC (assuming we're not talking about 2019 release dates). Judging from your answer I can see you agree with me though, Elysium has too much population and something needs to be done. Thanks for the hostile response by the way, accusing some random players because your server is laggy and crashes often is definitely the way to go.
-
So many players expect Elysium staff to solve this issue just by clapping their hands, while in reality it's not so easy. The fact that every single new player joining the project rolls on Elysium is what causes this issue: every single one of you wants to play on the most popular realm, no wonder it lags and crashes that often. There's only so many players a realm can handle at a time. You are the ones that chose Elysium, if the lags/crashes are becoming unbearable for your tastes, Anathema and Darrowshire have plenty of space left and will happily welcome you. Those 2 realms run as smoothly as it can possibly be.

I play on Anathema, not on Elysium.

Open Elysium -> Anathema Transfers
Keala replied to Demonia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Pretty much. This topic simply gets discarded almost every time. But yeah, I suppose that saying "any amount" is kinda wrong there (100 players wouldn't make a difference). To be fair though, I think any amount higher than 750-1000 players would make a noticeable difference for everyone, and it could be even higher. I really wish this kind of option wouldn't be discarded so quickly and easily from the staff, a poll would be nice (even though you would have to try make everyone vote). -
Open Elysium -> Anathema Transfers
Keala replied to Demonia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Most people say that it's not possible to offer these transfers because of different patches between servers. This reasoning simply does not make sense: we're not asking transfers from Anathema -> Elysium, which I agree would be impossible or really hard to deal with, because Anathema players have gear Elysium players can't obtain yet. On the other hand, the opposite case does not have this problem, Elysium players can easily join Anathema without bringing any kind of issue. Some other people instead think that these transfers won't make a difference, because almost no one would ever think of joining this realm. How can people be so sure of this? Just because you wouldn't do it, it doesn't mean others have the same intentions as you, since they could have other reasons for wanting something like this (lag/crashes, more content or closer to TBC). I understand this might mean some more work from the staff and that their time is precious, but I can't see any reason to not try. The situation is pretty bad from both sides, even if only a small bunch actually does transfer, it's still something. Actually, it is so bad that even small things like this could make a difference. Not to mention the possibility of having more players than expected to accept this transfer. Additionally, for all the people that say "We can't merge! The timelines of these servers are different!", then why the heck did the staff allow Zeth'Kur players to choose what server to transfer on, instead of just merging it with Elysium itself? Some people got transferred here from Zeth'Kur which was the same patch as Elysium, and yet offering transfers from Elysium to Anathema has suddenly became impossible to do at all? -
Anathema -> 1.11, Naxxramas patch (currently on scourge invasion event, Naxxramas will be available in 7 days) Darrowshire -> 1.7/1.8 ZG patch / Dragons of Nightmare patch (I heard it had the patch delayed so I have no clue if the update has been done yet) Elysium -> 1.6 BWL patch

Open Elysium -> Anathema Transfers
Keala replied to Demonia's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Pheraps we should give this thread some more attention, this option shouldn't be discarded so quickly. These transfers could greatly help overall the 3 current realms. -
I agree with you on this, but I wonder what could be done in order to not screw over everyone else in the process.
-
That's weird though, I don't share the same opinion with Ickus and Forest_ regarding making Anathema wait for Elysium, and yet we can easily discuss with each other like normal persons, sharing our thoughts and comparing them. How is it possible, since I react to everyone who don't share my opinion?
-
You're being optimistic in an absolute manner. There is a reason why people are speaking right now, and that's because the more likely scenarios have very bad conseguences on either Elysium or Anathema. On top of that, the fact that "Elysium is doing fine" is only your opinion, since there are players who don't like the current plan for TBC. Additionally, you're giving it for granted that Elysium will get their own TBC server (I suggest you reading the first post again, because there are way more hints about having one single realm rather than multiple ones. Just check the new Legacy Crusade section, that by itself suggests there will be only one TBC realm). Have you ever considered the option where you don't get your own realm and instead your only choice is to join the already progressed Anathema TBC realm? That would be shitty now, wouldn't it? Just because you think the majority will always get their way, it doesn't mean it will 100% happen. We are all humans and as such we do mistakes, and the same goes for the Elysium staff. They already made mistakes, and they might do more. All of this is basically the reason why we're all here trying to discuss peacefully (I still have to understand where did people see insults apart from Ironfoot calling me insane, but w/e), in order to voice out our thoughts and let the staff know what we think, maybe giving them ideas that will guide the project overall on a better path.

How can you be so bad at reading? Are you even aware that their initial plan was to simply make Anathema players have TBC first and be done with it? How is that better than anything the players have suggested so far? Additionally, I never said my suggestion was the best one and it had to be implemented absolutely. It's just a simple freaking option, go search the forums and you will find people asking for this already. The best part is that you call this suggestion "forcing people to choose" (which is funny, cause giving the option to choose is the opposite of forcing). Yeah, because not giving them an option to begin with is actually not forcing players to suck it, right? I already know what are the definitions of selfish and compromise, and to be fair the only part where I saw selfishness was in sreaver's post. But hey, at least I don't snap out of it and call others insane, I like to keep the discussion in a civil way compared to someone else here.

Adjusting content release schedule.
Keala replied to sumeht's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah okay, can we look at the reasons why is this being suggested? Anathema is going to have TBC soon, because of this quite a few Elysium players are suggesting that Anathema has to wait for Elysium to catch up and then make them all transfer there. Problem: Elysium will have all the content around September 2018 and it's not like they will have TBC after 1 month of Naxx, which means we would have to wait till 2019 for TBC. Can you please think for a second and try to understand what does it mean for Anathema players to wait till 2019? Naxxramas will be out in 1 week, I'm sure you won't expect us to farm it till 2019, right? And here we are, talking about maybe speeding it up in order to not completely screw over the other 2 realms. I can understand why you would not want the content to be released faster, but for god sake, this whole issue is not just about you or anyone else in particular. It's about thousands of players and the whole project itself. The initial plan was to make Anathema be the first to have transfer to TBC. Personally, I don't mind this at all, but many others do, which is why we're here trying to look for different options. -
You said I repeat myself, but even then you still don't understand why we're calling it a good compromise. What's the current plan for TBC? To have Anathema be the first server have transfers to TBC. Plain and simple. Reaction from Anathema: "YAAAY!" Reaction from Darrowshire: "mh kay, maybe we will get it soon enough too then" Reaction from Elysium: Well, considering it's very populated the reactions could be much different depending on the person, but there are definitely players who would like to play TBC too. Now, what most of them are doing is suggesting a completely new plan, where Anathema is completely screwed over because fuck Anathema. Just check this abomination: "Fuck Anathema. Make them wait and don't offer any transfer because no one would play over there, Elysium has the majority of players and thus we should be getting premium treatment at the cost of others." Meanwhile, there are a lot of people who have been trying to actually find a good compromise, considering most people don't like the current plan (and I'm fairly sure you don't either). People have suggested many possible options, and one of them is to let the players who truly wish to play TBC join Anathema now. If they don't do that, there are gonna be quite some players forced to re-roll on Anathema simply because of TBC. It doesn't necessarily have to be this solution the preferred one, we're only throwing out ideas for the staff to read. It's up to them at the end of the day anyway. About this sentence in specific... No, we're not being selfish and yes it would be one possible compromise. Would you rather go with the current plan, which is "Anathema goes TBC first. End"? Am I really the selfish one for offering options to Elysium players? You know, I could have simply pushed for this plan and be done with it. Think twice when you're calling someone selfish.
