Do you realize that making Anathema wait for Elysium while also not speeding it up is unacceptable, right? Did you read what they proposed even? They're willing to sacrifice the fact we get TBC first, and instead will gladly wait for Elysium to catch up if they speed the progress up. Meanwhile, not only you're expecting Anathema to wait for Elysium to catch up, but you also don't want your timeline to be touched at all. It's pretty clear you literally miss the ability to try and put yourself in someone's else shoes.

It's too early to think about this already, but according to them the characters will all be automatically copied. Maybe their policy on this will change, who knows. About gold and items regulations, they have not said anything about it, but it would be pretty damn bad to set any cap on gold you can bring with you. Just imagine if Anathema actually ends up waiting for Elysium to catch up: you're literally telling to all the players "feel free to just farm the gear because farming gold will be a waste of time as we will remove almost all of it form your bags".

This is the problem, most Elysium players simply don't care about finding any compromise to make everyone happy. They want Anathema to wait for them, they want their content release to not be sped up in any way and they want TBC start to be fair by removing anything Anathema / Darrowshire farmed while waiting for TBC. Because you know, fuck the others, I only care about myself. That's how the people there think (more than half at least).

Adjusting content release schedule.
Keala replied to sumeht's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I don't mind not speeding up Elysium content release, but then it wouldn't be fair to make Anathema wait for Elysium to catch up. We either wait but Elysium speeds it up, or we get TBC first and Elysium comes second. -
The question is, will the gold and materials remain untouched during the character copy? They might want to look into this in order to prevent disasters with the economy right from the very start. They will probably think of setting a cap on how much gold you can have on one account, which can probably be avoided by making multiple accounts. Point is, they might find a way to block rich players from bringing insane amount of stuff/gold to TBC, which would leave us with only T3 as an advantage. I wouldn't mind at all to keep everything I farmed till the release day, it just seems unlikely imo.

It depends by how much they speed it up though, because reaching Naxxramas 2 months earlier than intended (which would be July instead of September) then it doesn't really make a difference, the wait is still insanely long. It's still better than nothing, but I also have my doubts that most Elysium players don't want to see their content sped up in any way. I agree when you say that it's a good compromise to speed up the content release considering we're waiting for them, it just doesn't seem like it's something they are willing to accept.

Long them fix or not, there are players who simply can't or are not willing to wait for so long. I'm not saying the vast majority have the same opinion as me, but I'm for sure not the only one. I simply don't care to wait for so long, by the time TBC will be here, I might have forgotten about this project entirely or I might just be playing on Crestfall, since the chances to see that released before TBC are higher in the case Anathema waits for Elysium. I'm fine with whatever the staff decides to do, I will simply act accordingly based on what path they choose.

Lower the server's player limit

Zeth'Kur was the same patch as Elysium? Also that's not even close to being concrete proof, do you even know what concrete proof is? In our case, it would be confirmation from 90%+ of the Elysium playerbase that they won't transfer to Anathema now if they had the option. Good luck asking thousands of players. -

You don't have any concrete proof it would be like you said, the same way I don't have any proof enough players will actually transfer. Does this mean we should just completely ignore the option it could improve the situation and do nothing? Okay. -
I'd be the first to be happy if they sped up Elysium progress, but even if they do that, it's gonna be sped up by an mount that won't make the difference.

Elysium is scheduled to have Naxxramas around September 2018. I doubt they will release TBC for them 1-2 months after getting their Naxx, it will take surely more than that, otherwise they'll end up having only 1 month to farm Naxx. This means the release for TBC is much more likely to be around early 2019, I really can't see them releasing it in 2018, not even in December. We will see what the staff decides to do regarding this matter, but if that is seriously the only way to make it work, then I will gladly just walk away and go for another game or focus on something else. Sorry, but I'm not waiting over 1 year for TBC, might aswell just join Crestfall (if I will remember about its existence by that time, that is).

Lower the server's player limit

I'm sorry but I failed to see what was your point in this post. Sure, Elysium is suffering a 1 second delay and it's not okay, does that mean you agree transfers would help this issue, or? -
I really doubt the vast majority playing on Anathema would wait for Elysium to catch up, most of them would simply stop playing. I, for one, would simply look for something else to do if I had to wait till 2019.

Lower the server's player limit
Keala replied to alexinho's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
To be fair, you can't also be sure of how many players wouldn't want to transfer there either. Even before the TBC announcement, there were some people here and there who simply don't like how unstable Elysium is right now, and thus asked for transfers. There are even players who are already bored of being only at BWL patch yet. Additionally to those 2 type of people, there are also those who are interested in seeing TBC ASAP. If they stick to what was said in the first post (Anathema first to transfer), then it makes sense for a part of the players to join Anathema, since they would have to wait AT LEAST till September 2018 before they have a chance to see TBC at all. We don't need half of Elysium to transfer, and not even 1/3. I'm fairly sure this would help a lot even if the Elysium pop decreases by roughly 1k, and on top of that Anathema/Darrowshire get some more people around. -
Does this mean there will be only 1 TBC realm?

Lower the server's player limit
Keala replied to alexinho's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
By setting a lower player cap, you will simply prevent 1-2k players from playing on their realm (during peak times, ofcourse). Wouldn't it be better to open transfers from Elysium to Anathema/Darrowshire, in order to lower the population a bit on Elysium and also revitalize the other 2 in the process? -
I have a feeling you literally did not read the post at all, so many people asking this while it only required 5 minutes at most to read the post. Toradh is right, the people simply cannot understand what they are reading.
-
^ This so much. Everyone is free to roll wherever they want, and if they want to roll on Elysium instead of Anathema because of the population, so be it. But if you're going to complain about lag/crashes, overcrowded zones and insane ganking, then you're simply a fool (Not referring to older players on Elysium, just the ones who join there recently).
-
It's pretty clear that Elysium has way too many people. I wonder if capping the server at 6k pop would even help at all: you fix one problem, another one pops out since the players in queue will complain about how long they have to wait to play the game. Don't you think that allowing people to transfer from Elysium to Anathema/Darrowshire would help this a lot, while also giving Anathema some players back? (there multiple players asking this because they hate the lag, they're tired of waiting for more content or even because of the TBC announcement)
-
@Dralek, just leave it, there's no point. We will see what the staff decides to do, I'm fairly sure they know the consequences of making Anathema wait so there shouldn't be anything to worry about.
-
I suppose that, in his opinion, it's considered looking at the greater good because Elysium has more players. While there is some credit in that reasoning, it's just sad to read statements like "there is no other way: anathema has to wait for elysium to catch up!" without even trying to suggest something more acceptable by the other side. It's almost like they're saying "come on just shup up and deal with it so I can have the best possible outcome".

You're saying this as if you didn't have that opportunity in the first place like us. You can finish vanilla progression by going transferring to Anathema with your guild next week, given they let you transfer. If finishing vanilla progression is your main concern, then transfers would let you easily do that. No, waiting would only happen to please the Elysium players and nothing else. Anathema TBC would flourish no matter what (given the scripting is AT LEAST decent). Letting people transfer now gives everyone the option to see TBC faster if they want to (and thus going through vanilla content faster), and if they don't want to they can just stay on Elysium. Waiting for Elysium to catch up won't make a difference, Anathema won't have anyone left by the time that happens. Seriously, think about it for a second: if we have to wait for Elysium to catch up, that means we won't see TBC until early 2019 (Naxxramas planned on Elysium around September 2018, and you can't release TBC 1 month later of releasing Naxx). Yay, we can finally merge the servers and all go to TBC when that happens! ...99% of the pop there won't probably be there at that point. It will literally be dead, which means nothing left to merge. The players either stopped playing, or re-rolled on Elysium. The only way to unite the community right now would be a sudden merge. That is not going to happen, and the community couldn't be more split than it already is. A transfer would only benefit the project overall rather than hurting it. At least you can reason and have a proper discussion with others, unlike most other people. Good to see more guys like this.

Do you realize that the current plan Elysium has for TBC greatly favors Anathema, right? We're here trying to discuss what would be a better solution since Elysium players feel left out cause Anathema is getting TBC first. Some of you argued that both Anathema and Elysium should get TBC at the same time, when Elysium is ready, without giving 0 thought on what would happen to Anathema if we'd do that, but ofcourse you wouldn't since you have so much more content ahead, right? Who cares if Anathema stands idle waiting for OVER ONE YEAR. But since I don't think it would be fair to just favor Anathema, I tried suggesting some ways to make it better for everyone, at which you reply I am "forcing" people to choose. I am sure you'd much more prefer going with what Elysium planned in the start, wouldn't you? I just give up. Most of you don't even want to look for a good compromise, you only want what's the best for yourself only.

+1. So true.
