UPDATE @ 10:00pm GMT+1 Dear Community, Firstly, just wanted to thank everyone for being patient while we work to get Anathema back online. We wanted to give you a quick update on the situation as it stands. So here is a little timeline of the recent events: Anathema went down around 11am GMT+1 on Monday morning We started our investigation We realized someone attempted to do a ~$2,000.00 chargeback on the Anathema server from the host directly We reached out to OVH immediately and raised a ticket We had to wait until Tuesday morning to receive word back from their specialists since it was locked down due to “fraud” So that brings us up to about a few hours ago, around 5:45pm GMT+1, we have spoken with the host OVH and we are now awaiting their renewal link which will then provide us a payment link inside so that we can pay the 3 months in advance that we are now required to complete before the server will be unlocked and ready to be used. Now, after this, as our main priority is the server itself, we are still working on the remaining three servers and are still continuing to work on development. Once the server is back up and running completely, we will then go in-depth and provide a bigger update. In closing, we are not ignoring you and we so thank you for all the donations that were brought in since yesterday’s ordeal and we will update you once Anathema is back up and running. We apologize for the delay in getting the server back up but we are working diligently with OVH to resolve the issue. At this time there is no further ETA that we can provide other than to wait for the renewal email. We will post another update as soon as we have more information. When you transferred your character, did you play on it here, on Elysium with the epic gear or had you just transferred the character and just now had a chance to log into it?

It requires being able to mitigate a constant DDoS attack which to truly stop an attack of this nature, would cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to mitigate it to the level that Blizzard can handle on a daily basis. It's not cheap for one and two we DO have protections in place and we are doing what we can to resolve the issue.
