Why Nostalrius PvE was flourishing and Darrowshire isn't/won't
Robroy replied to Summer's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
As a solo alt-leveler, Darrowshire is hard enough for me. If you throw in WPVP, it would be practically impossible for me to do anything, so any merger that results in no PVE realm means I'm out of here. -
Maybe somebody in the German forum (see within localized forums in the main menu) can help you. They must have downloaded the client somehow.

Thanks very much for the advice. Resyncing the app time worked. I've tried before to sync my computer to internet time but was unable to do so. I'll buy a new battery for my motherboard and see if the pc keeps time better.

Since Saturday, I have not been able to log in to one of my accounts because 2FA is not working (I use winauth as 2FA). My other account, which doesn't have 2FA, can log in no problem. I tried logging into the control panel and it says it doesn't recognize the six digit code. Occasionally 2FA has not worked before, but I've always got in when I've tried again later. Now it is not working at all. Any suggestions as to what to do?

I would hope if you only had a 10 second interval between messages you would be flagged up for spamming. A more acceptable interval surely is in minutes not seconds.

On Darrowshire, the quest chain stopped at Magecraft, because the continuation of the chain in vanilla was in a later patch. My last alt was a mage so I had to abandon the chain. You haven't said which server you are on and hence where in the timeline you are. I'm guessing it's the same problem. The mage forum will tell you exactly, because that's where I found out about it.

The server has rules, whether it is legal or illegal is irrelevant.

It was the same on Nost. Your pet would sometimes be named Unkown for some reason.

If you make it mandatory, then you are going to have the Help forum flooded with people looking for advice. Yesterday, I used the Admin account on my computer to log into vanilla instead of the day-to-day account I use on that computer and it was a pain in the ass to get started. It's the same IP address and computer but that didn't make things easy, I had to dig out the email from my g-mail account to get things going. I set it up to only need to use Winauth when I log in from a different IP address, but no I have to use it every time even thouigh it's the same computer everytime and it doesn't move location. I'll be getting a new computer soon, so I'm going to have to log-in from that one, which may not be straight forward.

So... much... lag...: It shows as 15ms but feedback is 150-200ms+ so Why false numbers?
Robroy replied to whatisgoingon's topic in Help & Support
It would help if you stated which realm you are on. Looking at your posting history, you have recently had problems with Add-ons so perhaps you could be looking there for potential answers. The only time I get problems is when I stream live football as I'm playing vanilla (I get lag). I can watch Netflix and play without problems, but streaming live sport and playing is a bit much for my system. I don't use Add ons as I'm levelling and so I rarely get problems outwith server-wide issues. -
The Xylem mage quests don't appear to be enabled on Darrowshire. Myself (Horde mage) and a rather puzzled Alliance mage (judging from the emotes) couldn't get the quests.

Wintrading, which is organised cross faction cooperation, is banned, but the organised cross faction cooperation in Un'Goru is allowed. I don't understand why the PVP community isn't angry about this, as it goes against the principle of PVP servers. I was on PVP servers on retail from the start of Wrath up untiI I quit Legion and to me this kind of thing going unpunished just screams out as being wrong.

Could try deleting what's in your WTF folder, that sometimes works for problems where changes are not being over-written correctly.

I levelled my hunter on Nost without guides and I got to level 59 before I ran out of quests. The only grinding I did was for leatherworking. I didn't do any dungeons. For my fire mage, I've been following Jame's horde guide (The alliance version is Joanna) and it has been one grind the entire way. Every level you have to grind something, so it should be renamed as Jame's grind leveling guide. Areas such as Stonetalon are missed out even though it's a decent source of questing experiance. For my next alt, I'll go back to doing it my own way, which means a lot less grinding.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the nature of a blizzlike vanilla server where money is harder to come by than on other server types then? You should stop watching you tube and reddit, it's rotting your brain and you're losing the capacity for analytical thinking.
