OK you verify an email address with Elysium. Then you use your username plus either an email address or your password at the Nost website. Is the email address you originally used to set up your Nost account the one to use here if you choose the email option? (Assuming it's different from the one you used to verify with Elysium.)

I have the same problem - I have the log on details but my email account was closed by my ISP, because it was closing all non cable accounts. There may never be a problem, but it could be one that might hit me in the future. Surely it's better to get this kind of thing sorted now rather than possibly losing everything say a year down the line, because I can't reply to an email from Nost/Elysium.

In life, when you have two competing things which are very similar, the usual out come is that if one gets started first then that one will have a huge advantage over the other. I think this is what's got the fresh advocates so worried - you can sense that in what they are posting. The Nost server is going to get most of the new blood starting there, simply because it is opening significantly earlier than the fresh realm. The more dedicated new players will most likely stay and the less dedicated will either give up or move to the PVE server or the fresh one. The Nost name will also be a huge advantage and will also ensure that most of the new blood comes to the Nost server. I'll be on the PVE realm hoping that we catch some of the people who get tired of being ganked.

Now would be a good time to plan to allow people to change the email address, as work is going to have to be done on the accounts for the various launches. The email address I used when I signed up no longer exists, as my email provider at that time subsequently closed all email accounts that weren't cable. I hope the account log on details I found on a scrap bit of paper (good job I'm not a tidy person) are correct otherwise I'm going to lose my chars.

GhostTiger I was aware of what ias in the FAQ. As I said, with the movement of accounts that's going to happen, it would be a good time to allow a change to the associated email address if you have the log on details.

PVE realms are terrible. You can't gank lowbies. You can't jump people when they have low health. You can't gang up on somebody whose got full health. You have to have skill to beat people in PVP on PVE realms. Really bad places for the average person on a PVP realm.

Fantastic news, releasing the PVE server after the new one would have been so wrong.

This reminds me of a recent post on a retail forum, where this person thought they had a wonderful idea for WoW.The idea was for mount races and there was something to do with pvp but they didn't really explain where the pvp came into it. Their reasoning was that it was a cool idea and that we all enjoyed things like super mario and so why not in WoW. It's pretty obvious thast the person didn't really know what the game is supposed to be about. In the old days they would have been laughed off the forum for that kind of suggestion. People, who know what a game is supposed to be about, don't make suggestions like these.

Was the number on the realm the maximum that was allowed? Were people let in in gradually to control the numbers? I tried for 45 minutes from the launch to log in, but I all I got was "disconnected from realm" whenever I entered my password. I tried everytrhing they said (deleted files, set the realm to the correct one and even tried setting the DNS thing to what was recommended) and even registered again in case I had my login wrong, but nothing worked. I tried pinging the server which worked so maybe they were letting people in in a controlled manner.

Somebody misquoted a Blizzard employee saying the 10m number and Blizzard quickly issued a rebuttal saying that there wasn't 10m. As others have said, if there were 10m then they would be shouting it from the rooftops. I foolishly bought and downloaded Legion about a month ago and on the European realm list, I haven't seen a single Full realm any time I've logged in. Around 8-10 have been High pop, about a quarter have been Medium and the rest are Low.These are pretty shocking numbers for this stage in an expansion and the worst I've seen ( I didn't play vanilla and I started BC mid way through). The realms I have alts on are now Low population when they used to be High. Unless there is something massively different going on in other zones, Legion has not had a successful start.
