The current cap on Nostalrius PVP is 10.5K, I would expect the same, maybe some variance but that's the rough estimate.

if you want to get ahead of the pack, even once you're ahead of people, you would have to keep it up. You don't even know if the server is going to work at all in the first week, so I certainly wouldn't be booking time off work. Yes it'll be a better experience than only leveling in the evenings when everyone is playing, but in my opinion it's not worth the risk given you don't know if the server will run properly. Not that I would ever take time off work just to play a game early anyway, but if I were to, I'd want to know I could actually play the game properly before taking time off.

no, there will be no transfers for the new server, and you can't move characters across servers anyway.

It costs a lot to run an additional server, and these guys do not make profit... 3 servers means cap of over 25,000 players at once which honestly I would think will be fine. Let's see how it goes, things will settle down soon. No point in splitting the community more than necessary. Bear in mind this was only meant to be a return for Nostalrius, the fresh server is like a bonus. :)

Developing a targeting system that would actually identify who the spammers/goldsellers are, and specifically ban those accounts / IP Addresses. Goldsellers have always been around... let them work on it, it'll settle down. There are plenty of players who use VPNs for many many reasons. I'd rather not ban innocent players. Also - I think it's naïve and narrow minded to think banning VPNs will get rid of goldsellers.

Disabling VPN connections hurts plenty of legitimate players. Sweeping bans generally is a bad idea. There are better solutions.

Because the population cap is much lower than the one on the PVP server. Complete nonsense that the fresh will fail, it will be fine.

I'd completely forgot Fraps takes screenshots. I would assume Fraps is probably a lot better than the WoW one as it compresses the image quite significantly, even at the highest quality.

Early morning eastern time would still only be afternoon EU not evenings so yeah not too busy. I agree though, EU day time was quite nice, not too busy.

Yep it's gonna be chaos, there will be a lot of competition. NPC spawns should generally be OK, as they have implemented dynamic respawn rates (i.e. the more people playing in an area, they faster the mobs will respawn) so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Physical item spawns though, hahaha. Have fun waiting for 2 hours to use one quest object. And no, server migration is not allowed.... this is vanilla not retail, you can't just buy your way out of every problem you face.
