  2. How DARE the Elysium staff take time off at Christmas, just shows how uncommitted they are!11
  3. I would assume given that Cataclysm came out 6 years ago this week, the vast majority of retail WoW players joined after Cataclysm launched and have no experience or knowledge of the pre-cata game. So they probably don't get why people like vanilla - even if those players are unhappy with the current game, that doesn't mean they have played pre-cata.

    Queue Management

Jesus, why on earth would anyone want this? The only situation in which queue skipping could ever make sense would be if it were for disconnects and getting back on - no one wants to drop out in the middle of a raid and have to wait 20 minutes to get back in lol. Even then I wouldn't agree with it though.

Wenches, old bats, harpy hags, etc.....

How does anyone even make a thing of meeting a girl, it's not of any importance or relevance at all. There's nothing special about women lol.
  7. Has the cap on each server been established yet? I know this has been asked a dozen times but I haven't seen an answer and I may just not be looking in the right place.

    About Pc requirements

the servers are designed to handle a lot of players. Nostalrius was fine for the most part, with occasional ping spikes. The server latency will affect everyone though regardless of how good their internet is.

    Population cap

The stress tests maxed between 7K and 10K, that doesn't mean the live server will be that high.

    About Pc requirements

raids are generally the most demanding time in WoW as you have 40 people in close proximity using lots of spells rapidly, so your CPU has to do a lot of processing. Given how densely populated the server will be anyway though, raids may actually be easier on your PC in some instances, compared to having literally hundreds of people in the starting areas.

    About Pc requirements

According to Kotaku: OS: 98 or newer CPU: 800MHz single core GPU: 32MB HDD: 4GB RAM: 256MB It should run OK on older systems, although this is 2016 it really is the exact game that was being played 10 years ago so it was designed for 10 year old computers - and the game has always been extremely scalable and playable on poor machines. The only thing I would say is about the CPU requirements. Elysium will be a lot greater populated than the original game was intended to be, so will need a better CPU to perform adequately. A good CPU will make a massive difference. I have an i5-4670K and was struggling to hit 100fps or even 60fps some times on the stress test, although that is when there were 1000 people in the same spot.

    PTE

As long as they offered us the option to stay in vanilla I don't think it would be a problem.
  13. hm I see what you mean. I doubt any action against that can be enforced and its such a minor issue i don't think anyone needs to worry about it.
  14. Having an "RP guild" that encompasses all types of RP seems a bit unnecessary, isn't the point of guilds in RP to be proper factions/guilds where everyone in there is roleplaying together?

Vanilla but they are open to the idea of moving to TBC later down the line if they think it's what the community wants.
  16. how exactly would you go about trading gold from one server to another? Nothing about the servers interact between each other, and you cannot transfer chars across servers.

Wenches, old bats, harpy hags, etc.....

Jesus christ I'm not surprised women stay away from you. SAD!
  18. Nostalrius did not shut down because of the C&D letter, they shut down because they wanted to demonstrate to Blizzard that their goal was to get Blizzard to make their own servers - that they were not in it for themselves.
  19. No, they will ignore it like they always do. They will not acknowledge Elysium. They will be silent and wait for everything to die down, which it will. Give it 2 weeks after launch you will not see a single article about Elysium in any kind of mainstream press.
  20. Without wanting to sound like a psychologist, I think ultimately the reason many retail players seem to get angry just boils down to them knowing inside that the private server players are getting a better deal than them. It's like when you go on IGN and try to start a rational debate about a game and you will get the most vitriolic fanboys defend their product because they have invested money in it and therefore it must be worthwhile.

BBC Coverage - good or bad?

I certainly wouldn't trust Blizzard to keep the game in its original state, but on the other hand the servers would no doubt be in a better condition. I'm quite content with sticking with fanmade servers tbh.
  22. Back when I played retail WoW, in Cataclysm I used to be an MVP on the official forums. They are honestly just full of cancer. Awful place. Everyone acts so entitled, and when someone shares something they don't agree with, they'll go out of their way to be angry about it.

    Population Question

right so if you need to do dungeons in order to raids, why does the dungeon stuff not count as content in your eyes? Also most people will not play 3 hours every single day for 1.5 months straight. You sound very cynical.I am just here to enjoy myself as are most people, there is plenty of content, the game is massive.
