Connecting for a few moments and then Disconnected
Ellipsea replied to dukanoosh's topic in Help & Support
first read this. then 1.If your WoW folder is in program files, move it to any other location (I like wow on the desktop). 2.Make sure you are operating as administrator: Right-click the Battle.net Desktop Application icon and select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab. Click Change settings for all users. Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator. Click Apply. 3. Launch the game from wow.exe, not any launcher you may have. 4. Using notepad, simple text, textedit or any basic ascii program, open up your realmlist.wtf file in the wow folder and ensure that it says only: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org If it already did have this info and you could’t connect, try switching it to the IP address: set realmlist 164.132.233.125 5. throw away your WTF folder. 6. If you created an account with a password that is 16 characters or above, you will most likely not be able to sign on. -
How are you enjoying Elysium?
Ellipsea replied to Zauhet's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
That's exactly what it should look like. We also should see your 60 buddy, emerge from stage left, to do something heroic. Imagine what it was like on Nostalrius with two-four stitches standing there! I went to the graveyard once everyday, to help my comrades out and shall be yet again. -
Recent changes to how debuff spells are handled and stack?
Ellipsea replied to Airymil's topic in Help & Support
I don't see where anyone reported it as a bug. -
Mouse cursor jumps randomly when left/right-click draging camera

If Jorn's suggestion doesn't work, here's another batch of post to sort through. -
Did you all fill out ban appeals anyways? I have no idea if they have a blanket fix for a wave of random bans.

Mouse cursor jumps randomly when left/right-click draging camera
Ellipsea replied to Solution9's topic in Help & Support
Throwing the kitchen sink at this badboy : ) Do a search in forum again for similar problem. A good handful of people have had it, and found different solutions. Let me know if you discover a solution that works for you. -

Don't know if i wrote this in referenced post but, should start with throwing away the config.wtf file in WTF folder first. Incase you have some funky info in there. Disable all Addons to make sure it's no them. try this, right click the WoW.exe Shortcut > 'Properties' > 'Compatibility' Tab > Check 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'. also try right clicking WoW.exe and tell it in compatibility mode to use recommended settings. -
Make sure you are operating as administrator. Right click wow.exe and set to administrator. Make sure you are launching from wow.exe and not any launcher if you have one. If the wow folder is in program files, move it out of there. Does your realmlist.wtf say: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org ? if not, use notepad to write that in there. If it already did, you can try using the IP address instead: set realmlist 164.132.233.125 Read Pottu's post about Directx.

tell her to try reducing the draw distance to medium. Also read Pottu's post about DirectX.

Looks like you are probably putting extra characters in the in-game command as well. If my old password was flippy and my newpassword is dippy, it should look exactly like this: .account password flippy dippy dippy

Any Chance for a fresh PvE server?
Ellipsea replied to vtravi's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The PvE server is the least populated. Your anecdotal evidence after having played for a short, inconsequential time isn't gonna make a lick of difference as the PvE server's pop is spot-on-perfect. Why you might want something different...lord knows. -
Nope. Brother, cousin, wife, aunt, crazy ex-girlfriend, or even you yourself. Doesn't matter who did it. Account security is for your safekeeping alone.

If that's your account name, that's half the info someone needs to hack your account. I'd go ahead and delete that if I were you : )
-
...and did you create a game account first? should probably read this stuff.
-
read all the other threads about same situation all around you first.

Yeah, try a gmail account. although sometimes that doesnt work either. But yahoo been nothing but trouble.

Did you do all the things mentioned in this thread? Did you create a game account (not the same as forum account)Did you set wow.exe to operate as adminstrator. Did you move the application out of program files. Did you read Pottus post about DirectX. Did you check to see if there is erroneous inforamation at the Set accountName line? Does your realmlist.wtf file have the correct logon info? Did you try setting it to the IP address instead.

On Nostalrius, I think this was the last official statement about it, which basically said it was not ok but...meh, but they were going to fix it so it wasn't possible. If snow said it's ok here, must be ok. Need Pottu to return from his exile, wherever he is: by Viper » Wed Mar 16, 2016 4:05 pm Greetings, Last weekend, 3 players were banned for duping specific quest items in Felwood. After the research done by players, it appeared that this bug isn't a major one and as a consequence, cannot lead to a permanent closure of an account. As a result, those 3 accounts are now unbanned. The following items gathered will be deleted from their accounts. From what we saw of the accounts, some of them already have a "last warning" applied prior to the ban, so please check the Terms of Use and feel free to report any abnormal issues in-game. A log has been applied to monitor abusers and a fix is going to be applied in order to prevent any players from abusing this mechanism again. Best regards.

Could be tons of things. Right click on wow.exe and make sure you're operating as administrator. Then right click on wow.exe. Select> troubleshoot compatibility. Select> try recommended settings. Select> start the Program. It could Be DirectX. Refer to Pottu's post about it. It could be your video drivers, update them.
