Ya, I told some people to do that too, it just kept rewriting the bad data, and I didn't know it because I assumed it was still gone. Went through like another hour of all the good stuff, before I realized they still kept downloading the bad data over and over.

Oh ok. there was some werid data being sent out to config.wtf file for a lot of people, when they first signed on that didn't allow them to connect. If you use notepad to open up config.wtf in your WTF folder do you see a line that looks like this: SET accountName "insertnamehere" or doesnt have your account name in it? find that line, put your account name in it and save it an close.

You weren't able to create a game account, were you? The main site has been down continuously for a couple days now...unless you had created it at some time earlier.

When the Elysium website becomes active, you can try changing your password...again.

This option now works if you need it. .account password oldpass newpass newpass To be ultra-super-duper clear about this, because it took me a minute to get it right myself, here's what ya gots to do. Go by yourself, ungrouped into an instance. I went into SW stockade.(incase you mistakenly say your PWs outloud) If my old password was fishstick, and I want the new one to be bellybutton...this is what I would /say exactly: .account password fishstick bellybutton bellybutton you will get a confirmation on your screen.

This option now works.

Are you talking about the ".wr on" situation or something else? And ya, you can't whisper until level 10 or so.

Yeah I was just checking with one of the other guys that has this problem. He is using an EN client. So it does not appear to be client related at least for him, it's not. Your problem is a little different though.

A good handful of people are experiencing this bug. I haven't seen a client side solution yet. It is interesting to note, no one else with the bug reported that attempting to enter channels, created an incorrect, custom channel. Also, no one else mentioned if they were on anything other than the En client. So, you may have given us a couple of clues.

I was in your place, like thousands of others. I figured that shit out because I wanted that toon back. I was careful. I read everything I could about it, and you can be for godamn sure I was going to make it happen. I created new accounts, tried new ways of using browsers because I WAS NOT GOING TO MISS THIS. And I didn't...as frustrating and hard as it was. I'm sorry you didn't. but if you want to blame Elysium for Nostlarius' shitty system, and for Nostalrius not supporting it and then making it go away, you go ahead.

After Nost removed the ability to generate tokens, yes. There's no reason to maintain that data, it is useless to Elysium. there's nothing they can do with it. Nostalrius holds the keys. I'm not aware old toon names are now free, but that's definately a possibility. You have to understand. Elysium didn't do this..had nothing to do with the decision and certainly would have wished otherwise. You're pointing your dissatisfaction at the wrong people.

They didn't remove the data, where did you get that from? It is literally impossible for Elysium to recreate accounts without Nostalrius say so.

may I ask why you are defending your misrepresentation of this thread's purpose and people idly lashing out at this server? The thread wasn't started as a memorial for the grieved and these posts above certainly aren't folks willing to read about what happened or understand how the missed out, but are merely thrashing out at what is in front of them.
